Bluetooth Module
Hey fellas- I did a search on the forum and called the dealer but no one knows if the module works with a Blackberry 8703e. Any clues?
Dealer says that it's a no-return item so once I throw down the absurd $380.00 I'm SOL if it doesn't work. They say that they will guarantee a Rzr, V60 and Moto Q will work. I thought once you had Bluetooth, it
talked to all Bluetooth devices
Thanks in advance for the input guys

It depends what you consider working. I used to have the razr and it worked great with handsfree including accessing my phone books. However I just bought the LG8600 and it works but no access of the phone from the command unit. This may be the case with the Blackberry. After I returned the LG, the Verizon person brought out the Krzr and the Q to test with my car and as to my theory that any Motorola phones will work well, they all can access my phone book which was important to me.

No Blackberry users eh??
I'm having a helofa time justifying $400 expense on a little black box. It's weird how cheap-of-a-beeatch I can be when it comes to some things . I'm now thinking of buying a Benz-V60 (~$50) and adding another account to my cell bill. It will be 9 bucks a month and compared to the cost of the module , I'm looking at almost a 4 year break even point. Dont think I'll own the car that long.

Blackberry (8100) Pearl User
I use a Pearl and it works just fine with the OEM bluetooth adapter. Borrowing the features key from the Audio and Electronics threads, it does 3, 5, 6, 7. I haven't tried the voice dialing capability of thePearl while paired as of yet...
KEY:
1. PhoneBook Download
2. Call List Download
3. 3 way
4. SMS Download
5. DTMF Tones
6. Bluetooth Signal Strength Indicator
7. Speed Dial
Pairing was simple. Once paired, the car and the phone automatically pairs again when any door is opened including the trunk. PITA really when you just want to get something from the trunk...the cell phone rings, you answer and realize that you have to get into the car quickly to carry on the conversation.
