E55 shopping, is this fair?
What do you guys think about this price? Is it fair? I thought that he should be paying around 60 or am I wrong? I do understand its a dealer car and everything but I just want to make sure he's getting a good deal. This dealer is known to be a little expensive so thats why I was a little suspicious of the price. He's not trying to be cheap but if he does consider it he doesn't want to get ripped.
If anyone can help me out with that I would really appreciate it. Thanks guys
Lowest price right around what he is looking for is around 59$

So for '05 fully loaded, 18K:
KBB Trade-in Excellent/Good/Fair: 65.8K/62.6K/56.9K
So I'd start w/ 58-59K and move from there...
I know it's a CPO... but I always act as if it didn't add much value by saying: "I won't be driving much... so I will get hit by the time limit first, not the mileage... and CPO only adds 1 year"

But to be honest, if you could get $63K, for me it's a good price already.
I'm also toying w/ ideas to get '05-'06 E55 (the ones with all bugs ironed out
). Have couple candidates.... Any member wants to be another candidate?
First, these cars are a dime a dozen used. Second, they're not moving off lots. Third, the market is national now, so considering you can ship a car cross-country for about $750 (closed container for about $2k), you should factor that into your negotiations. You'll find cheaper with lower miles on ebay, which you can take and show the salesdouche if you feel it's necessary, and kindly remind him that the most you'd pay over the ebay prices is $750 to accommodate the shipping cost, and also mention that the ebay price is without any negotiation, so really the $750 is off the table as well.
For anyone who hasn't had the experience of trying to sell one of these yet, the new reality is that these pricey cars are disposable like kleenex; they're all made of plastic and have no lasting value. Dealers cut prices so severely at the end of every model year that the secondhand market is nowheresville as far as depreciation induced trauma is concerned.
Go in knowing that you're bidding on a Neon with a faster handbuilt engine and take it from there. Note the high quality plastic-rubber compound used to fashion the dashboard. "high quality plastic-rubber"!!! An STS-V has a nicer dashboard - at least it's real leather!!!
Lots of competition in the market segment of the E55; low retained value/fast depreciation; lots of other e55 inventory out there at competitive prices. Welcome to the buyer's market!
good luck with the dealmaking,

anyway i appreciate all the info again guys. i went to the dealer myself while my brother was at work. i dropped the deposit on the car 1 hour ago, FP of 60. i'm aiming for pick up by wednesday the latest. i haggled the hell out of this salesguy because i truly thought i should not be paying more than 60. i ended up getting my price on the car and my price on the trade in. i was there for like 2 hours, they weren't budging at all and with this and that and blah blah blah. i finally made it clear that i wanted my prices that i set and if they agreed to just run the papers... and so they did.
in the end its good because its from a dealer and its our local dealer so its a good thing for my brother. its AW/Char, every option including pano roof. the car looks gorgeous, my brother is excited as hell but to be honest i think i am more excited. he should be going away to Miami in 2 weeks so guess who's babysitting? lol

I certainly prefer black (just like your M3... black and beautiful
BTW, are your M3 seats red or black? From 1st pic they seem black... but from 2nd seem red?

my car is actually a convertible and i put the hardtop on it. i love it, in general most people don't even realize its a vert (which i think is weird). i can't wait for the good weather to come though. thanks a lot for the compliments buddy i appreciate it
