E63 now faster

Just got my car back yesterday from the dealer to fix the tranny leak. Like someone here mentioned it was the o-rings (two of them). Practicaly had no fluid left...anyway drove it the first time this morning and what a surprise. Feels like a totally different car, as if i picked up several hp. Shifts are also extremely sharp. Could it be just a coincidence ....just hit 1,000 mile break-in, cold morning air or simply psychological....doesn't really matter I'll take it.

Had it all planned to go this past Sat...here in NY it was close to 60 degrees but found the fluid all over the garage floor in the morning. Wanted to establish a baseline. Had the tranny sealed yesterday. Now i will never know if I gained anything.

That o-ring problem is a issue with the srt8's too. My tranny was leaking from it and so has countless hemi's (we have the e-class w210 tranny for those of you who don't know).

Happy to hear you got it fixed.

Funny you should mention that. When I called the dealer to see if my car was ready he said, "They are working on it now , the laptop is hooked up to it. They have to keep taking it for test drives and back to take recordings."
What the heck this means I don't know, but driving it home from work tonight, something was definitely done, b/c it is hauling ***.

I had a leak on my E55..

they fixed under warranty and the shifts are smoother and more crips...

before they were jerky and very sluggish.

Also keep in mind, they might of reset your ECU, therefore you feel like the car is new again.
