I'm doing fine Enrique, don't worry, everyone is fine and they already started working on the beast. I'll be getting a daily, most likely a leased 335xi or 328xi come this October. Then I'll wait for the release of the facelifted 997s with PDK before I pull the trigger on the P-Car. I'll probably get into line soon coz there's a guy on this board, Amil (ajf1) that can find me a good deal for a build spot.

P.S. I treat her more like my little sister than an actual date, so no big deal, but I wouldn't mind dating her if I were single again

TOW????? Aren't these cars supposed to be flat-bedded? I had to have the car taken in once and MB sent a flat bed. Did you hit the SOS button?

It was a flat bed tow truck.

UPDATE:

Dropped off the Eurorev/B870 CF rear bumper cover at the body shop today and saw that every thing is already there and they already started working on the car.

Since the rear end is getting fixed anyways, I decided to get a Carlsson trunk spoiler to complement the front CF lip (that needs to be replaced too )

You know how low these cars are in sport II, right? (plus it was lowered by Steve MBenzNL and has the CF lip spoiler) Bascially, if they don't use boards to SLOWLY yank the car up on to the flat bed, the front bumper will get hit. I bet that's how they damaged the front bumper during the first tow.

Carlsson trunk spoiler order is placed and should be here by Thursday. I'll run it to the body shop on Friday after my cardio / renal exam.

Hey Kevin,, I am pretty sure you cannot sue for loss of value on your car. I am glad that you are ok. It could have been much worse. Should have taken your car to European Auto. They do all my body work and they have done amazing work over a short period of time!

Thanks Christian. My car was hit in the middle of no where, so I had to figure out a way to get my car away from that shop QUICK, so my natural choice would be to call MB Roadside and have them take it to Chambers......

Last time they were slow but they actually did a very good job on the car, and that's all I care. My rental is on the other party's insurance so I'm all good for now except for the fact that I miss the TQ..... Looks like they'll finish everything by next week and I can get the lip to them for installation later.

Update:

So the car's been in the shop for three weeks and they are finally going to paint the pieces and blend the paint into the body panels. At this point, it looks like the car will still be in for at least another week if not longer...... Here are a couple pics of the torn apart beast:

Go see the pictures of the first page. They are painful to look at......

I might swap them out for Carlsson mufflers upon wife's approval though

Sorry to see all the necessary work. That was painful to view.

But, your E will be back up and running very shortly. Enjoy!

The pictures made me queazy like looking at some horrible surgery. No E55 should ever have to look like that. Good luck, I bet you can't wait until it's done.

Actually, the beast took most of the hit and we didn't feel a thing. It was pretty much just a little jolt. This really speaks to the safety design of the beast.

Well, the beast didn't take that much hit. This is after they prepped the vehicle for paint and removed all the trims and parts that won't be going into the paint booth. I can't wait to get her back and start doing some performance mods on her.

Isn't that the coolest spare wheel you've ever seen? When I had my flat on the side of the freeway, an Ohio state trooper stopped to check on us. He couldn't take his eyes off the wheel of the spare.

Doc, now that you mention it, it actually does look pretty nice (kinda similar to the HRE 843R)

I was just wondering why other portions of the car are scuffed up. Are they touching up previous flaws or is that just a part of the blending technique? Looks top notch so far and I'm glad it's in good hands
