E55-Got hit today

E55-Got hit today
driving to work early this a.m. in SF. young guy in suv came through light and "t-boned" me at good rate of speed. luckily impact was at driver side rear passenger door though looked like my driver door was going to take impact. walked away a-okay. these 55's are a thing of beauty...safety/performance. she's battered, but most likley totally repairable. just happy/blessed to be okay (other driver okay too). have fun and be safe.

glad you're okay too. it was scarey seeing headlights coming at me at that speed and angle. our 55's are work of art. blessings that we are okay. thanks for kind wishes.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune but happy the Benz took the hit and not you.
Talkin about full moon for e55s, mine got zapped a week ago. I feel your pain. I had a 2 MPH front end hit that did $13k worth of damage. No engine damage, just cosmetic front end stuff. The worst thing is doing without my Beast for 3 weeks. Everything else sucks.

thanks for kind words everyone. she is at dealer now-probably a 4 wk. fix. got call from mb certified collision shop dealer uses-first blush is no frame/structural damage. hoping this proves out upon more detailed inspection.

Just like to add to your note how strong MBZ are built...
I have a 2004 E55 now, but my 2003 E55 was rear-ended on hwy 280 (off Old Page Mill Road), lady who hit me was on her cell phone and she did not notice everyone at full stop (I can see she wasnt going to stop) - end result -she TOTALLED my car!
Passenger and I walked away without a scratch as well. And if I had two passengers in the back seats, they would've walked away without a scratch as well. Basically the trunk caved-in during impact, and left the rear passenger seats/area intact. I LOVE MBZ!!!!! y
