VRUS- Cams installed today
Finally got a chance to install the cams today. The install was very straight forward, the torque sequence is the hardest part of the install.
I have to thank PTE for lending me the cam tools and the instructions, VRUS for the beautiful camshafts and last but not least my bro Scrappy for wasting an entire Saturday helping me.
Here are some pics of the install below but the best part is the sound. The valve train for some reason is quieter.

Does the tensioner have to be reset? Or does the cam gear w/chain just slide back on to the cam with no problem, and the tension is adjusted by itself?
Do the cams have tabs that slide into the cam sprockets or do we have to time them?
What special tools were needed for the install?
Good Job!!

Scott

Was the install pretty easy to do with the tools and instructions from PTE? I've seen the cam tool used once! Assuming you had a Torque wrench why was the tq sequence on the cams difficult?

Butt Dyno says it feels good mid to top.
The first stage is to torque the long bolts to 10 NM and the short to 15NM. The second stage is +90 degrees on the long bolts while following the pattern. The right side has 18 bolts and the left side has 20. A torque angle gauge is recommended to do the job, so I wrote down the pattern and checked them off one by one to avoid mistakes. Everything else up to that point was quick and easy so that's why i think the torque sequence was the hardest or most time consuming of all the required steps.
