DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THE TAILLIGHTS OFF A E63 OR A E350 WOULD FIT MY 03 E55?

 

It's just been discussed a couple days ago...... and the answer is yes, you can swap in the E63 (smoked) or E350 (clear) tails to your E55.

What's the matter w/ the E55's tail lights? Keep in mind I don't own one yet.

 

I prefer the 55s, but I like mine tinted!!

My dad has an 03 E500 with non-led tails, he's been looking for some led tails for some time now.

 

Its very important that i have nice lookin taillights, i want the new ///M5 owners to have something nice to look at while they follow me!

 

How much do they cost? E63 taillights.

I checked on oempartsdirect.com. What is the appearance package for taillights?
They have two different pricings for taillight assemblies. One with appearance pkg, one without the appearance pkg.

Anyone know the difference?

 

i just called my dealer the cost of the tail lights are $240 each, not sure about your dealers but my dealer in New York said its on back order from germany.

As far as appearance package my buddy at the dealer has no idea what that is. So figure around $500 to put E63 tail lights on your E55.

 

w/o appearance pkg = non-LED tails in pre-facelift cars, so I'll assume it's the same for facelift cars

Humm...I don't see the E63 selection (OEM smoked), maybe all the appearance packaged comes with factory smoked rear turn signals? AMG or not.

$500 for the pair is not as bad as I thought. Consider you can still sell the LEDed E55 tails to other Non-LEDed E320/E500 owners.

 

Get a Z06. Everyone knows it faster.

 

I'm pretty sure the non-AMG LED tails are not smoked

 

I must say, I love the E55 lights over the new design they have placed on the CLK and E class. It is a drastic move from what Mercedes has done in the past.

 

I wouldn't exactly call the change drastic.

I want to get a set of smoked lights for my e63. Anyone have pics of this either having been done by tinting, spraying, or where to buy smoked ones? I have original Hella smoked tails on my M5 and love them. I wanted to get the same look on the E63, but don't know where to look. I did a search and this thread was the only one that popped up. Thanks in advance.

If you don't mind them New or Used but like new cond.
I think he was selling them for 350 for both and yes with the led's.
He did have both non led and with leds.


And if anybody wants the e55 taillights w\leds in perfect cond. let me know
I am also got a pair of 17inch AMG wheels with tires in okay condition aswell.
They are off my wife's CLK....
