I have troubles with my Treo not connecting. I typically have to reboot my Treo to get it to work. Anyone else have that problem? Is it because it is a BMW bluetooth module or because the Treo is a buggy windows phone?

best mod i ever made

I got mine on ebay - but it was from morristown bmw after all. They sent me a followup with interest about how it works in a Merc - so they seem interested/useful. $199.
http://stores.ebay.com/Morristown-BMW

Anyway.. this has to be the best mod I've ever been involved with. It honestly just slide in in place of the V60. I would not have even expected factory bluetooth to work this seamlessly. I paired it with my blackberry very easily - had to use the code that is on the bottom of the puck (write it before you install it - otherwise you will have to pop it out mid-install to read (which incidentally did not cause an issue!)). No issues so far. Steering wheel controls/in-dash display/automatically transfers to the car when I'm on the phone on entering... address book xfered in sans issue... pretty amazing stuff.

I think it's the phone. I also have to reboot my Q all the time to get it to connect. Sometimes it will be great for days and days, and sometimes it's an issue every time I get in my car. It plays nice with some phones and not others. Mine is not on the list of supported phones so I guess I should be happy it works at all.

In my experience, the Treo phones have always been iffy with any MB or BMW bluetooth systems. Sorry.

I just received the BMW BTUM I ordered for my 2004 CLK320. When I plugged it into the cradle, the COMAND system didn't recognize it. I was able to bond it to a RAZR2 v8 and to an older RAZR v3 (it displays a solid blue light), but the COMAND system still didn't recognize that a phone was connected. Should the COMAND recognize that the "puck" alone is connected, or does a compatible phone need to be bonded to the puck as well? I don't know whether I need an official Mercedes puck, a different phone, or if something else might be wrong. My old v60i phone was always temperamental. If it wasn't placed in the cradle just right, the COMAND system wouldn't recognize it either.

I can't recommend the BMW one given my experience, however I don't know if it's the Motorola Q or the puck. I've never tried the Mercedes puck. I'd certainly be happy to sell you mine.

I'm having the same issue, phone is paired with puck and vice versa but the car doesn't recognize the puck. My cradle is factory installed so as recommended by Benzo, I'm heading to the stealer...

That makes us three - Jimmy, I am in a very similar position: 2005 CLK which doesn't recognize the bluetooth puck.

Did your visit to the dealer help you in the end? Can you give any advise?

I think it was due to my Euro Command and also wasn't able to download the phonebook from my Blackberry. My bluetooth and phonebook were more important to me than watching DVD's while driving, lol, so I sold the Euro Command and picked up a US Spec. Pairing worked and phonebook successfully downloaded.

yet another me too with the BMW puck...

I'm too having the same issue; my Motorola Q9h phone pairs with puck and vice versa but the car doesn't recognize the puck. My cradle is also factory installed (in a 2003 SL55).

Did anyone have success solving this issue?

When I posted my message back then I did not find any solution and then decided to buy a cradle for my mobile phone.

Now this old phone is about to be retired and I am facing the same dilemma again. Bluetooth would be nice to have, and the BMW puck is lying around in some corner collecting dust.

Anybody around who can confirm that the BMW puck can work in a Mercedes equipped with EURO comand at all?

Couldn't agree more with this. It's the one option my car doesn't have that I really wish it did...and it's a pretty costly mod - not to mention not cheap. My girlfriend's base Camry friggin' has it...

I've been looking for a reasonable solution to this, but since mine isn't pre-wired, nothing is reasonable.

BMW BTUM V60 Motorola Bluetooth Adaptor for MBZ - Did it work?

Hello Seattle!
This is an old post but wondered if you're still out there. Did you ever get the BMW BTUM V60 bluetooth adaptor to work with your MBZ CPT9000 Motorola car phone system? I just purchased the V60 from BMW for a 2002 MBZ E320 and the puck 'lit up' with the blue led, paired with my iPhone, then promptly shutdown. I no longer get the blue led 'lit up' on the puck now. I replaced the phone cradle (from a part at the local junk yard) but still NOGO. Temperamental puck or phone system? Seems like I wasted my money.
How did your work?
Thanks!
