Does anyone have any information about this so called E65 coming! what will it look like and is it the same motor from a S,SL,CL?

I just picked up a new Dupont Registery magazine and it says taking orders on the new E65! W.T.F is mercedes tryin to do to me?

 

Wow. If this is true its probably going to be overpriced and depreciate half its value in 1-2 years like the other 65's.

That makes no sense. Why would MB butcher its premium model line up by offering the V12 in an E class? Its about product positioning and prestige.
Its a dream, guys.
The best you can hope for is a turbo on 63 motor and thats unlikely to filter down to the E/C/CLK etc.

 

All i know is that it shows a picture of a CL65 (taking orders) then a SL65 (taking orders, E65 (taking orders). So in regards to the E class they make a E350,E550,E55,E63 and now a unexpected E65. I got my fingers crossed! E65

I love E-Class more than all other models, especially when it is an E65 AMG

Nice ... I dont see how ~700ftlb is going to help our cars launch any better when they struggle to cope with 516ftlb.... The Brabus EV12 has more power than the 65 and it just burns rubber all day long, but anyway lets assume they do do it ... would be nice on the motorway ... but I seriously doubt we will see this model released.... Its just too degrading to the CL / S ranges to have it in an E I think. Also why go to all the trouble of building the 63 if you got a new flagship 1 yr on?

Total pipe dream, the moron making the advert likely saw "E63" next to all those 65's and thought it was a typo. Dupont has typos in it all the time.

For my second point, its utterly inconceivable that, on a model where they purposely misquote horsepower to hide its performance and won't add an LSD because it will completely beat up the entire AMG line, you honestly think their marketing department would allow the mother of all v12's thrown under the hood?

I realize this thread is old but I thought I'd share what my girlfriend saw 1.5 weeks ago in Long Beach. We were on our way back from a cruise Monday 9/10 and heading north on 710 from Long Beach. In front was a big rig hauling a lot of Mercs. She happened to see a E-Class with E65 on the trunk. I said there isn't such a thing and that she mistook the 65 for a 63. Hmmm.... makes me think now that she probably did see a E65.

 

The guy that started this thread is a moron of the highest order. As much as we would all like for it to be true, she saw a 63 or a "poser" 65.

 

Cool, I didn't think too much about a E65 until seeing this thread and remembering what my girlfriend mention what she saw. I've been playing catch up with all the info available for the E63.
