Non Hub-centric 20's

Bought a set of 20" TSW's, but upon test fitting realized they are not hub-centric. This means all the weight of the car rests on the lugs! Is this OK? I've built plenty of hot rods like this, but for some reason it makes me nervous on my Benz...

E55
On a cheap car with no HP,yes. But on an E55 then no,you need some hub centric rings.

I hate rings and spacers, but I say you do that instead of letting the lugs take that abuse. Reconsider the knock offs in general.

by knock offs you must mean "cheap" rims. To be honest, I "snuck" into the AMG chat, my car is a lowly e320. It's my daily driver for commuting. I save the weekends (and my gas money) for my supercharged 550hp '07 Denali. Seems like you AMG folks just know alot more than the regular sedan guys. Anyway, I was tired of riding stock so...bought these cause I like the look. Thinking of buying a E63, then I'll get some "real" rims

I do mean cheap rims, I guess. I've seen horror stories with out of round, broken, etc. with some. TSWs are almost a name brand to me, so I don't necessarily hate it. heck, even some MB dealers sell their SL65 look rims on brand new cars.

A car is a car. An E320 sn't lowly. Enjoy what you got, bro. Everything in life is relative.

Did the new rims come with new lug bolts? If not you will need new ones. The OEM rims use 'ball' seat lug bolts and the TSW use 'cone' seat lug bolts. You can not mix them. Don't forget to keep a set of ball seat lug bolts in the trunk for the spare.
