Styling & crafsmanship are what attracted me to HRE, so far I've had 3 sets, and each time I receive my new set, I have the same level of excitement. I've heard not-so-good stories about I-Forge, and for Kinesis & Fikse, they just don't have enough choices for me to choose from. When it comes to custom made wheels, HRE is the only company I would go to.

Bad experience is an UNDERSTATEMENT! I had a HORRIBLE experience. I ordered a set of GFG Trento 5s, 7/5/05 and could not get a straight forward answer as to when they would arrive! 2/4/06 they show up COD, after I had already paid for them in full back in July. Not only would the UPS guy not give them to me, we couldn't reach anyone at GFG to clear it up for a week! When I ordered from HRE, they were delivered when promised and with wheel locks for my fitment! GFG didn't give me SH*T! Never returned any of my phone calls and left me hanging at the end. I just hope that I never need them to fix these wheels or I'm gonna be pissed! My recommendation is NOT to purchase from GFG!

Potholes happen.
I love to hear from people saying that HRE's aren't quite up to snuff because they bend when you hit a pothole. Open your eyes chief, they're built well, but they can't defy PHYSICS. YOU'RE the dumbass who HAD to have 20's or 22's, that little rubber band you call a tire isn't going to hold up too well when it's busy suspending 4,000+ pounds and falls into a friggin crevace.
The best thing about HRE's is the fact that they're easy to repair. They're not made out of adamantium people!!!
Stick with 19's and you'll have less problems. Regardless of build quality when you're using 40 series or thinner tires you're going to bend something eventually, its just a matter of how much you're going to shell out for repairs/replacement.

HREezy fo sheezy! Yes they are nice but will bend just like any other wheels if you don't pay attention to bumps and potholes.

HRE's never cease to make me smile. Besides the quality and workmanship (I know there are some that have had issues but I have not) they just look plain good. Even the older models still turn my eye. They are forged, light, and relatively strong. Can this be said for other companies yes but how many have sold so many and continue to sell more and more. The only other wheel that I would consider is BBS even though I am considering the likes of Radenergie, Carlsson, and few others for replacements.
My thoughts on played out wheels are those that no longer sell or are wanted- HRE is neither. Yes I am biased but I went over to Wheel Warehouse today and they have a great selection of wheels on display and I still found myself back in the HRE section looking at other models that I might consider if I change what I already have.

I had twelve different sets on my last car(I work at a rim shop) the HREs are by far the best. Keep in mind, I had Iforged, Brabus, all the good ones. HRE is still on top of the list.

I had a friend of mine order iForged for his CLK55. They looked ok but when they were made they had the wrong offset. They blamed him for telling them the wrong model and sent him spacers to fix the problem. Im sure its not super common for them to do that.. But just wanted to put it out there..

I worked for Avalon Motorsports back when I was in college, and we dealt with iForged a lot. They were always screwing up orders, delayed constantly, and overall their customer service was garbage. I supposed they've improved by now, but this sounds like they're still up to some of the old tricks.

Plus the inconvenience...I don't need to say how fortunate I am to live 40 miles from CCW.
It's not a road quality issue here in FL, it's dodging debris on the Interstate that's the biggest hazard to my wheels.
WTF do you do when your wheel company is thousands of miles away? All that packing & shipping BS? **** that.

Do what you think is right. I'm no expert and it is simply my opinion. By the way, not all of HRE's wheels are made to the same level, either, so you can also use that argument.
Not to **** on you, but does it not make you wonder when one wheel company targets SUVs and trucks while the other targets "sports" cars ASSUMING that the wheels are comparable?
I love the looks on the Fomula series iForged Aeros, but would get the HRE or CCW ones instead. That is just me.

Well, I wanted the iForged Sprint series which is similar to the HRE 646r but they only make that style for suvs and trucks , I thonk they would look great on my car and also yes not all HRE wheels are made the same I said similar to the way they make wheels but again this is all personal preference sp to each his own

Yeah, GFG's aka Giovannas might as well be cast out of the same pig iron they used in the Titanic. Ashanti is a wack singer and I think she might weigh too much as well. Are you a fan of spinners too?

That's why they make different wheels because not everyone has the same taste.I have GFG'S on my car and I get compliments on them everywhere I go. Although I like HRE's and they are a good wheel it's easy to just buy a wheel that everybody has and accepts. Like I said HRE is a nice wheel but it's not the only wheel out there.

Wow, where to begin?!?! There is a great deal of science that goes into the construction of wheels. There are different processes by which wheels are made. Casting, forging, spin forging, etc. Many companies claim to "forge" their wheels, but its not necessarily the optimum process, and the definition of "forged" can be pretty vague. GFG claims their wheels are forged but from what I understand its more of a "spin forging" process. Also, they're heavier than King Kong's left nut, not exactly what you're looking for in a performance car, especially if you like to keep your brakes healthy.
