HRE's never cease to make me smile. Besides the quality and workmanship (I know there are some that have had issues but I have not) they just look plain good. Even the older models still turn my eye. They are forged, light, and relatively strong. Can this be said for other companies yes but how many have sold so many and continue to sell more and more. The only other wheel that I would consider is BBS even though I am considering the likes of Radenergie, Carlsson, and few others for replacements.

My thoughts on played out wheels are those that no longer sell or are wanted- HRE is neither. Yes I am biased but I went over to Wheel Warehouse today and they have a great selection of wheels on display and I still found myself back in the HRE section looking at other models that I might consider if I change what I already have.

it seems like you are tryin to get approval about your rims? i think this is why so many have them, they are accepted. you should get what you want. i think HREs are played out also, i cant drive down the street with the same rims everone else has. yes some look nice and they are built good but so are so many others. if you get HREs try to paint or polish something to make them different than every other benz here. this is just my opinion and i mean no offence to HRE guys.

I'm getting iForged because I found the exact style of rim I wanted, but at one point I was also considering HRE's.

CCW is another I'd consider. iForged isn't on the same level as HRE, although I do like the "looks" on some of their rims.

None taken, thats why we have this board so opinions and thoughts can be discussed openly. I totally agree with you about differentiating too if you indeed choose to go with HRE.

Honestly, in any and all senses, except price. I'm not hating. If that is what you like, run them. Just don't fool yourself into thinking that they are anywhere near the quality that comse from HRE or CCW.

From what I have heard they are pretty much made the same way as HRE's are made and have pretty much teh same materials, and cost less so what is bad about them also I have to go with iForged because the style I want HRE only has them for suvs and trucks, that and they are extremely expensive.

Do what you think is right. I'm no expert and it is simply my opinion. By the way, not all of HRE's wheels are made to the same level, either, so you can also use that argument.
Not to **** on you, but does it not make you wonder when one wheel company targets SUVs and trucks while the other targets "sports" cars ASSUMING that the wheels are comparable?
I love the looks on the Fomula series iForged Aeros, but would get the HRE or CCW ones instead. That is just me.

Which series iForged are you even interested in? That will shed a great deal of light on differences with HRE.

I've never owned a set of HRE's but I've closely examined them. They are probably one of the hottest brands out there and cost a premium price. They have several styles and have the look that stands out.
For me to pay that premium price, the wheels would have to be head and shoulders above the rest....far superior. It's hard to say they are. There are stories of them cracking under pressure and bending when hit or potholed. If they aren't far superior, there are other high end wheels to consider. I'd look at Vellano, AZA Forged, Savini, IForged, so many more. All high end made with aircraft grade forging and a little cheaper. If money were no object, I'd go with HRE simply because they have history. History of good customer service, history of racing, history of longevity...history means a lot.

Obviously, I have HRE's. I like them alot better than some of the other rims that I have had in the past. I agree with Vader that U should custom them to your car. I have bent two rims so far, sent them back to HRE, and it cost $200 + S/H to replace the inner lip. Not only did they repair the inner lip, but they polished the outer for me as well. Cost me nothing! Just wanted to put my .02 in! Good luck in your selection.....just DON'T buy GFG! Their customer service SUCKS!
