CEC Tuning

Has anyone heard of this place? They're opening up a tuning center 2 minutes from my house. It seems that they're partnered with BRABUS. Just wondering if anyone here has had some experience with them, good or bad.

Claus Ettensberger has been in Teterboro here in NJ for a loooong time. They retail some big ticket stuff and probably make a nice coin off it. They don't do anything original really, and you'll probably end up paying top dollar for whatever you get.

From my personal experience, they are very easy to work with. I purchased Techart wheels for my 911 from them a couple of years ago and they shipped them to the Miami location for installation.
As Cylinder Head stated, they have been around for a very long time.
My other experience with them only involved receiving competitive quotes in which they usually made good offers.
The location I went to was out west near a Hooters. It was more of a warehouse and not an actual retail location. I had not idea they were opening a shop so to speak.
Hope this info helps.

Cec

I've been watching their building go up. I live in Coconut Grove and they are a few minutes away. Looks like they are almost ready to open their doors.

This is a branch of the same company that is located in LA. I understand they are pretty good - but leave it to Miami to screw it up!

Yeah, i live right by there also, but i thought that it was German Car Care getting bigger, i didn't know it was different shop altogether. I wonder how GCC will do with them next door.

They closed their NJ operation a couple years ago. CEC only sells the top notch tuners which are very pricey - albeit the best. They split from being the US Lorinser importer to pick up Brabus. Brabus is the top Mercedes tuner in the world. CEC will be doing Brabus engine conversions at those CA locations and will be doing the same in Florida soon.

Mercedes - Brabus
BMW - AC Schnizter
Porsche - TechArt
Audi - Oettinger
Ferrari - Novitec
