ADVICE on W211 E55 to buy or not to buy!?
Hi!
I am considering a 2003 E55 that looks superb. The price is ok and the car has only about 30000 miles on it and the car is a original Mercedes dealer car with guarantee.
However, the car has been crashed 2 times. Both side doors have been replaced and the front spoiler changed. Total sum 7000euros. What do you think? THe dealer says that with this amount the crashes could have not been big and that, but fails to give me any information on the events.
To me this sounds like a WALK AWAY CAR, EVEN WITH GUARANTEE. What do you think. It is not easy to leave a low mileage and beutiful car, but a side impact may have loosened the structures and I wouldnt feel safe to crash with a precrashed car.

Run, don't walk away, especially if the dealer isn't forthcoming on the crash details. W211's are a dime a dozen. Find another one, trust me.

Or ask this way... if I buy this from you and sell it now, how much would you pay? I'm sure the so-called not-so-bad accidents become very bad accidents.... LOL
Put it this way.... if the car is a lemon for some minor parts, I may consider it.. but accidents? For me it's a no-no.
