memebr mod question

for those w/ stage 1 (ecu/pulley) + headers and/or tb, how many have done ic upgrade. if not, any issues w/ heat soak? thanks all.

I'm still stock for now, but it all really depends on how hard you drive and what size pulley. If you are running the typical 165mm upsized pulley, then I doubt that IC is a must. Also, it depends on your MY. The older cars just tend to burn through the pumps faster.
If you choose not to do an IC upgrade just yet, consider a $400 marine pump and have it wired to run whenever the car is on. I think that is a nice compromise when only a bit of extra cooling is needed. The advantage is $$, the disadvantage is that you are not separating the two systems.

no issues with heat soak here. i believe the reason is two fold...i've had the i/c pump replaced under warranty and i've got a great exhaust system to help clear out unwanted heat.

Same as chiromikey, no problems with heat soak. I have also had my IC pump replaced at MB under warranty. I would be interested in hearing from guys with the after market pump to see what the true tested results are.
