*** Custom Paddle Shifters ***

Dear vrus,
I also want to buy this. It's great.
If these are finish, can you tell the manufacturer directly to send paddles to me.
Because I'm also in asia, that will save a lot of shipment fee.
Thanks

vrus these 100 that you might be making, are these the ones that fit the stock 55 steering wheels? or do we need to chop chop?
If they fit my stock cls 55 06 with no chopping, how much ?

I originally ordered the AMG Aluminum Paddles that come on the new cars but because of the wiring differences, they dont work on all models and years.
Because of this, I went looking for an alternate solution.. I am having custom CNC cut Paddles made which are super high quality. They are made to fit in the STOCK mounting location WITHOUT any cutting, hacking ,slicing, or wiring changes. The paddles were designed to be a "button" replacement and have no electronics.
The first production ready prototypes were installed and tested on a car for quite a few weeks to make sure durability, quality, and overall look & feel were perfect!
We are making them in 2 finishes.. One finish will be Piano Black, and one will be a standard aluminum look like the factory piece. They weigh more than the stock plastic versions but a little less than the heavier aluminum paddles.
Alot of attention was paid to the click and feel to make them as perfect as possible.
These will work in the following cars: C(203) CLK(209) E(W211) CLS(219) SL(230) CL SLK 55/65 AMG for sure. Possibly newer 350 550 models with buttons.
Let me know what you guys think... I really value your input..
Here are a couple of pics of the piano black versions:

It's not officially dead, but I've pumped in alot of dough and am trying to find a way to make these as economically as possible and not lose my shirt in the process..
I really dont want to purchase 100 sets of these (the minimum) and find there is no one there to buy them.
I am still working on it...

This isn't going anywhere...
unless Victor actually responds to the thread again. I've tried to ask through my tuner that orders all the VRP stuff for me and I actually PM'd him, but from all indications or rather the lack of positive feedback from Victor would mean that the production of these paddle shifters isn't going to happen ?
I have a feeling from just monitoring this thread that we could get 100 people ready and willing to dole the cash...I don't know the best way to get a list started, because I think starting another thread might get messy...I'd have to defer to the moderators in that respect.
I definitely would love to get a pair for my new MP Design sport steering wheel, but I guess I'll be waiting like the rest of you 55ers on getting word from Victor.

Guys.. I appreciate all the interest, and I am still working on this.
I am working with the original vendor to try and get these built.. I am also looking at making a CF version. Waiting for the quote to come in on that.
I will setup a webpage where all interested people can submit their name & email.. this way I can get a tally of how many we have.. If I can get a decent number, we are in business.
