My car is on 01 Z06 and the numbers are real. I just filled up today and had 22.1 mpg mostly city driving.

OK my bad, your avitar looks like a new Z06 upon quick glance, now I see the old hood design? the 5.7 liter gets great mileage if that's city driving?? Even if it's 5.7 liter!

i think realistic #s will be 12-13 city, 19-20 hwy.
wish these cars had bigger tanks though! btw, don't let the MPG steer you away from AMGs, our generation will probably be the last to drive gasoline powered cars and when we're foggies we can tell our grandkids that we owned these gas-guzzling monster engines that gave 12MPG!

You think these cars are bad. The M5 gets worse mileage and has a smaller tank by about 3 gallons (or maybe 4). I was at the gas station basically every day. Literally.

same here; when i had my wagon my average was 10.9 mpg across about 10000 miles. and i don't drive like a maniac either. i couldn't believe that this car could actually perform substantially worse, fuel-efficiency wise, than my monster Cadillac DTS, but stranger things have happened!

I drive a mix of highway/traffic, normal driving and hauling a**, I usually go about 290 miles until I need to fill up and it takes 17 gallons, so about 17 MPG......
I think 17 MPG is incredible for a 4000+ sedan with 540HP..... the M5 has trouble getting 10 MPG..... and you have to fill it up with oil every couple tanks of gas....
like the boat saying goes, "fuel is the cheapest thing you'll buy for this.."![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I was on a friends boat and we went to fill it up the other week down in Mexico.... it took 1800 gallons @ $3/gallon, now that's a gas bill!!!
