Hi guys,

I bought a bone stock 2005 e55 and want to start modding it (wheels, suspension, enging and etc).

I specifically went with the 2005 car I bought, since it virtually has no extra options to help reduce weight and also the fact that 2005 e55's utilized the improved CLS55's quicker steering rack, revalved shocks, lower control arms and firmer bushings.

However, after reading about the various factory CLS suspension updates further, I noticed that not all these updates appear on all 2005 e55 cars, but were installed sporadically during the entire 2005 e55 production run.

What updates would my early 2005 (10/04 prod) car have? How can I tell?

I am now wishing I bought a 2006 e55.

which center console does it have? clam shell or sliding wood door?

It has a sliding wood door. Does this give insight to which updates have been installed on my car? I read they put different updates during various times along the 2005 production run.
