I gave up. I may try the MB setup or just live without it until the next ride.

the factory setup is A more money than the Argos and B it isn't as plug and play...correct me if I'm wrong?

I'll be all over the Argos once it actually emerges from it's rumors. I don't even bother with the website anymore.

Factory setup works with COMAND, and is a very very clean install. I haven't investigated Argos, so I may be wrong, but I'm picturing an aftermarket device on the dash and to me that is not good..

It's a long thread but you'll find a lot of useful info in there.

Yeah man. Got my parts, installed them myself in 30 minutes and took the car to the dealer to get version coded and VIOLA, bluetooth.

Unfortunately, Dogshine is right. After 2004, the parts changed. But luckily for you, I have a list of everything you'll need along with the install document from MB. Assuming 2005 and 2006 are the same, which I think they are. Anyway, here is the document . The install is a bit different than mine. I only had to install the cradle in the armrest and pop in the bluetooth puck.

Install document

The last page has the part numbers you'll need. Call Jaime at OEMpartsdirect.com and tell him that you're a friend of Clayton's. And you want the "Friend of Clayton 25% discount for MBWorld members". You may have to leave a message but he'll return your call. I believe the parts for 2005 and up are more expensive than the V60 setup for 2003-2004. I don't know exactly how much, but it is more. Oh, and keep in mind that the voice control kit is completely optional.

Let me know if I can help any further.

The Argos kit is hardwired in the trunk. There is no necessity for a dongle in the glovebox, like the factory kit, which to me is a huge advantage. There is actually no visible hardware with the Argos kit, yet it is still (supposedy) compatable with COMMAND and fully integrates itself. Dims music when calls come in and allows you to use the car's stereo system to make phone calls. To me it sounds perfect....if only it existed.
