Always get quizzed at the track about the brakes and rotors.
What size rotors are on our cars, front and back.
Also, AMG brakes are Brembos correct? Sorry if am way off with that.

AMG brakes are made by Brembo, but they are NOT the GT quality.
14.2" fronts
13" rears

13" rears

Trying to get my nerve up to hit the new road racing track up here. Soon, I beg for hairpin turn tips.

What wheels and rims do you run? If stock, I'm telling you to try the rear setup on the front. It makes for a really balanced car.
Sweet!! Another cat that likes the twisties!

What is the big difference between our OEM brakes and the Brembo Grand Turismo setup? I know the GT's have 15" rotors. Is the GT much lighter overall and is the braking power improved substantially?
Thanks

The obvious is the size. Also, the metal is treated better and composites, so lighter. In all, larger surface are, more consistent heat dissipation, lighter, and potentially better airflow. It makes a hefty difference, but the AMG OEM calipers are not a bad base to start with if you wanna stay with the 18" rims. 15" rotors need a minimum of 19" rims, which I do not want to do.
If I ever track my car - the 15" GT pack will be a must have I reckon ... I just wish they made a Carbon Ceramic version of the GT setup. ... !
