Thanks for your feedback guys. I've been lurking here for a while and am on the fence at the moment between an extended warranty 2005/2006 stock E55 and a new BMW 335 with mods. Quite different animals I know. The E55 is a beast and beautiful, while the 335 is a bit more of a carver and more subdued.
Funny thing is the exclusivity of the E55, which is one of it's benefits, is also a bit of a concern for me. I'm a consultant and like to maintain a low profile with my clients....pulling up to work in this animal certainly would not help in that regard.
I guess if this is my biggest decision at the moment, life is ok.

Yup, that it does. But I don't think anyone has managed to get enough traction for a 4.3 0-60 time. I know the best 1/4 mile so far for a modded 335 is 12.54 and that's with an AA piggyback computer (similar to the Vishnu Proceed) and exhaust.
