Can anyone recommend a place in OC that could do any of the following:

1) Black out tail lights (tint or paint)
2) Paint front grill

If you're willing to drive to Gardena, my friend's shop EuroRev could do it.

I don't know of any dealership that will do, but many dealerships also have paint shops and they will do it. Keep in mind that the quality depends a great deal on their experience at doing just that, not necessarily their experience in general.

Also, if you are doing the same color on both, get them done at the same time and place. I paid $200 for paint prep and from there it was only about $50 per item.

I assume you already know the challenges of paining a chrome'd surface, right?

 

you can also try Group 5 Motorsports. Recently they did a CLS with smoked housings and it came out really clean. Their number is 1-858-693-3278. You can ask for Troy and mention Mike with the black S55 from myMBonline.com referred you.

 

My next E55 will be Vadered out like yours!

 

a lot of guys here have done it themselves. search here and in the cls forum.

 

Mine was done at a paint shop, too. It is just black paint and clearcoat on top!! Do not go the lazy route of mixing the clear coat with the paint.
