Once you see what is needed to do the install you will say that is easy!

Tools:

Flashlight
Small flat head screwdriver
10MM Socket
Med. Extension
Ratchet
(Vacuum )


- Pull plastic pin out from the gas pedal by using the flat head screwdriver (Your pin may be on the other side of the pedal. I think I put it in backwards when I replaced the pedal covers.
- Remove 10mm Nut
- Lift gas pedal assembly off the threaded stud
- Pull pedal assembly down and out revealing the wiring harness
- Pinch the sides of the wiring harness to release
- Plug in/attach the Sprint booster wiring harness to the appropriate ends
- Stuff the SB and cables up in the area to the right of the pedals (It is a tight space)
- Reassemble the pedal just as it was removed.

5 minute install!

SprintBooster makes a very noticable difference in throttle response time; I LOVE it...

You do not want to put the cable slack to the left like in your instructions. You want to shove them to the right. If you put them to the left, they may eventually touch the steering column and start rubbing. It has happened to me and I've seen it happen to several others.

FYI... Jangy and others, My theory on the mysterious button. The button does not control anything other then feel. since these cars are controled by wire there is no sense of engagement when you hit the floor. With the button you can feel the click of the button in and out as it releases. Just my .02

Good to know the right side felt a bit cramped I will go and play with it.

BTW, I get a bit of satisfaction when I hear people who doubt the S/B and what it does when they haven't tried it and then actually get one and love it....

Ohh yeah and one more thing, you dont need to release your gas pedal. If you use a 10mm without the extension, the ratchet will fit in that slot.

The whole gas pedal assembly comes off like a '80s Pole Position video game...but it works

This is true I followed the steps I went through to swap the Depal pads. I went out and took it a part with a short socket and placed the SB on the otherside there is a little pocket wher it can sit on the right side.

I loved it. It is definitely harsher, but i like that. It took all of a day to get used to. It did not lunge or anything like that. It is just more responsive.

I don't even drive my car right now. I got a nail in the rear, so i wanna paint the rims when i replace the tire. The car felt like a straight pig when I took it off. the real test will be how I like it at the track, but I'll be using it on the open roads for sure.

Sure, but if I'm the boss you would have to put up with it. That's one of the reasons I started my own thing.

I installed some awsome exhaust cut outs but haven't posted because of my lack of documentation patience.

It was great. The install was quick and painless. Still testing and will give some info to the other E63 guys when I get more seat time Awesome so far

Thanks Sandoval. However, on my slk32, the washer under the 10mm bolt is a b$@#ch to remove, cause it is so tight around the threaded stud. I ended up using 2 strong magnets, and I was lucky to get it out.
After the installation, the car was super strong. Except for the following:
1) The lag between when I hit the gas and the car moves from stand still is still there but 50% less.
2) Every time I brake, the car will jerk back and forth one before it fully stops (like an old American car). I was going to take out the sb and see if the car still does this w/o th sb. But the damn washer prevented me from taking the paddle off again... Do you guys think it is normal the my car does that?

i have a quick question, can the SB be used with a chipped ECU ? any idea
