Congrats to Jordan and his CLS 63 for making the fastest recorded pass in a CLS 63. The Car was tuned by ASR in Florida and has a Nitrous set up, direct jet on a seperate fuel cell. Regardless it is the fastest pass in a 63 series. The car likely will go faster once it is properly dyno tuned. Congrats Jordan!!! Thanks guys for all the nice thoughts and prayers. You guys are definately like family to me. Also note Jordan was running my old tires , so I think I get part of the record !! LOL. Also it was 70 ish degrees during the pass at Moroso and the DA was 700 ft positive. Great JOB!! We need more trap speed. Oldgixxer's pass seems even more amazing now as his car in good weather stock is blistering. I am equally impressed with the 1.752 60 ft time that the CLS 63 achieved as this gives me hope my car can also do 11.80's in good air. Congrats to everyone for getting the 63 down to respectable times , now we need this ASR 63 to run low 11's at mid 120's. :-)

Josh, that 60' time of yours is gonna be hard to beat, very impressive. I have to add that to my list of moving targets along with BLACKBENZZ's CLK record. Hopefully I will be reporting back with some even lower e/t's tomorrow night after the L.E.T event at U.S 41 tomorrow. The only thing that is worrying me is that the weather tomorrow is supposed to be in the mid 80's with much higher humidity. The good news is that there are only going to be 25 or so guys running so I should get plenty of time to master my launch.

Looks like there is a few more MPH in your car and .1-.3 in ET(motor only)

I lost a couple MPH with the MT's I think because my 11.6 pass was over 123mph. I am actually going to try to go up on air pressures with the MT's tomorrow to try to gain back some MPH. I think I actually want the tires to spin just a little out of the hole. I know I left some on the table, If I can match your 1.60 60', that alone shoud be good for another .100-.125 at the end, right or wrong? The thought of being able to potentially run an 11.3 on motor is insane. What do you think the 100 shot will give me? Is an 11.0 or 10.99 out of the question if I can nail a 1.6 something 60'?

on your 11.60 pass its possible you were spinning a bit which will make ET go up as well as MPH, when you nail a killer 60 your ET will drop as well as your MPH a bit. If you spin your tires a bit you will lose ET.

Hey Jim,

Those MT's will give you the best chance and more consistancy. You may actually trap higher on a harder tire. I can tell you the slick is taller so it changes your gearing a bit and this allows trap speed to be improved but the fact you are not spinning alleviates hp and tq creation from spinning. Similar to on a dyno you get tremendous hp and tq spikes from spinning on the rollers.

The perfect run in your car say at 60 degrees on a local track (600-1000) feet

You get your 60 ft down to 1.69 vs 1.73 it should drop your ET to 11.398 and your traps should be 121-123. On a negative day your car let me just tell you at a -1300 ft da day (hope we get it) your car would go

11.20@125 with a 1.73 60ft


You will need -2k DA to go 10.99 or better all motor.
You could hit 11.09-11.25 all motor with your current set up in 1000 plus negative DA with a 1.6X 60 ft but you will need serious help from cool moisture free air to match the fastest stock Z06 of Mr. JF.

The stock Z06 pass is truly INCREDIBLE, but with a 100 shot and a decent hole shot you should beat a Z06 by 300 plus feet. I bet you go 10.71@129 mph on NOS in -1300 or better DA
