Maybe not, I just talked to a friend of mine that has a bone stock Black Series, he says if I can get his car out there he will attend the MIR event. Maybe I will offer to race Rob for, hmmm, let's see, $5000, $10,000 or what ever he can afford in a stock to stock race with me driving the BS and him in his "stock" e63. Only stipulation we are going ot go to an MB delaership and have them plug both cars into the computer just to make sure everyone is really "stock". Hey Italian Stallion call up your BFF Rob and present my offer, if I'm not mistaken you were the go between guy on the bike race.

I wonder if on the day Rob was running in March that if the stars were aligned and the moon was in just the right position to pull gravity towards the end of the track...maybe he would have hit an 11.6? Hmmmmm

I think MachC5 was in the 11's that day.

Listen, timeslip correction is definitely nice and helps with egos...but as we already debated to death a year ago, you have to go by what was ran.

Now that your car is modded to the max, I'm sure you will get great 1/4 mile times. I just find it a little humorous that you first say you're not impressed by Rob's runs, then you think he did a great job, and now you think he's mediocre again.

Whats' the difference though? You have a unique car and I'm sure you'll kick *** at MIR. Enjoy my friend.
I don't pin ANY hope on corrected numbers, I was just curious how much of an advantage Rob had running at MIR vs. Route 66. Route 66 is a fast track, in fact many records NHRA records have been set there, so to me those correction numbers don't mean squat. The heat, humidity and elevation at Route 66 realy work against you, but it probably has the best track prep and one of the fastest surfaces of any NHRA track in the country(explains why so many records have been set and broken there over the years).

I doubt it, I think I have the only 63 that has gone 11.6, 11.5, 11.4, 11.3, 11.2, actually it's rather sad when you think about it, 63's have been driving around the streets for 26 months and nobody can crack an 11.7...not even on the bottle. I assume there are a couple other Evosport cars out there that can get at least into the 11.6 range, I hear there are a couple of my cloans running around out there now. You would think by now Brabus or Renntech or someone would have a contender 63 of some sort....scratching head.

Well there's a few reasons why. 1st reason being, the 63 is not mod friendly. 2nd reason is that mods for the 63 are expensive and not very effective. 3rd is that the car is relatively new (2 years old) so the older it gets, the cheaper it will get and the more likely people are to mod it or to run it at the track and break records.

weird I have a timeslip , you were car 100 and ran a 11.92@118.72 says it was your first pass , you ran Rob who hit 12.x@116.X. I guess then you stopped running? The next series of slips is just Robs including his 11.95@118.32

I agree with you your car likely breaks the stock 55 record that day, and yes your car is a FREAK.

Bottom line is Rob's Stock record stands and only one other other stock 63 has been in the 11's(MACHC5) actually I do not think he hit 11's .. checking . Im sure MIR will produce a few that come close , but question is does anyone have a stock 63?

Jim Why would you postthat you ran a bone stock 12.26 @116.7 in Sept when now you claim an October run of 12.16 ? Did you forget aboutthe Octrun which was faster and rather remember the Sept run????????

Sorry bro stock you never topped this list

The post you made comes from Feb 2008......Is in this thread which is a very detailed record of passes in the 63. A BS did top the list, it was MACHC5

I "completed" 4 runs that day and aborted about 4 others at the 1/8th because I thought I was about to die. I spent the better part of the morning driving around the lovely establishments near Atco trying to find lug nuts and wheel spacers.

I really wish you wouldn't remind me of that day. $930 on wheels and tires, the pain of putting together a rental and collecting money, watching the weather like a hawk for ten days, and nothing to show for it thanks to Tire Rack.

As an aside - I just ran into SleeperX 20 minutes ago.

[QUOTE=juicee63;2701908]

RESULTS WELCOME Chris to the 12.1 club, This is getting very quick, and scary fast. My best passes from last May are no longer on the list

TWO CARS GO SUB 12 both STOCK. Yes this is the same 63 that produced 13 second passes at this time last year causing many to sell, to not order and to generally panic.

Oldgixxer and MACHC5 have bumped of many today. Helmets off to the East Coast participants @ ATCO, today the 63's proved they should no longer be considered step children but AMG brothers. Those who have Timeslips post em up

Only one record held and that was 1/4 mile trap speed steady @ 118.70 MACHC5

1. 11.952 118.32 7.756 92.961.83 39.0 E63 Oldgixxer(STOCK)3/8
2. 11.958 116.61 7.735 92.73 1.84 41.0 CLKBS MACHC5(stock)3/10/08ATCO

Ok two 63's have gone sub 12 stock so far

Enzom sets up private rentals over there almost yearly. Pm him. I would go every single time if I were closer.

Thanks for refreshing my memory, but I am going to refresh yours too. My 12.19 must have been on my 2nd track day, not my first as I stated in this thread, sorry. If you will recall our conversations both here and on the phone the only time slips I physically had in my possesion was the September runs 12.26 the other slips were in the glovebox of my car which was in California Evosport getting worked on. For fear of being called a poser and fraud I only gave you the times I had a slip in my possesion for. That is the very same reason I have not had you change my fastest e/t from the 11.47 on your current list to the 11.29 @ 126 I ran a few weeks ago...I don't have the timeslip, nor do I really care too much about it because I am going to blow that e/t away in 4 weeks anyhow.

Josh...BTW, How's team AMG West Coast's blower coming along? Seems your guys are asking me about NOS advice...hmmm??????

Josh, one more thing...who really cares about stock times anyhow? IMO bone stock cars are for guys who can't afford to mod them the right way. I would rather own a 11.2 modded car than a 11.9 stock car anyday, I think most others would agree. Anyone that frequents a race track and keeps their car stock is an idiot! You guys can keep bickering about who has the fastest/quickest stock whatever and I'll be over here making my car(s) faster and faster and faster and faster and........you get the idea.

Jim,

Getting a stock car to go fast is a challenge of driver skill and basic car prep. That's why there are Stock and Modified classes at the Drag Strips.

This is the same deal as Amateur Radio Operators, HAMS do using 5 watts of power to bounce signals off the moon.

Getting a Modified car to go fast is always a matter of Money.

If you do not have the time slip how do you know the exact time of the pass?

Jim seriously man you are the Worlds fastest 63 but do not attempt to diminish what the stockers did.

It really does not matter what you ran you never hit 11's stock as diid the other Black series and as did Rob.

Relax man , I respect your driving and you have done so much to earn that. Dont blow it by being a blow hard.

Your best comp obviously aint from the 63's its from the modded 55 sect and tuned V12's. Looks like Marko is running a bit faster than you

There was also a stage 1 E55 putting up an 11.41 so focus man.

Jimmy seriously bro? What are you trying to say? Just accept the fact in stock trim you did not have the fastest/quickest 63, it is simple.

You currently hold 90% of the 63 records, hats off to you for participating but please attempt to recognize there are others on this list that earned a spot and deserve some respect.

also please submit the RECORD pass on the gas!!!! How can you not post up yer time? 11.huh at 126?????????Comon Jim post a slip

THANK YOU!

There will always be that group of people who use their money to compensate for their lack of skill, small d***, etc.
