Absolutely!!
Hopefully Jimmy can get in the 10's , I know Rick is trying to be the first with his current project.
I think I will have to attempt to simply hit 11.9999999999999999999 with just the underdrive pulley, lol

At Famoso earlier this year, one was trapping 113 to 114 at a DA of 1700 ft and 74 F temps. In better air and better conditions, you'll see better trap.

Wow, thought they would do better than that. That's kinda weak....

Why are other 63's trapping higher, and without the 7 speed tranny?

But that explains why I demolished one....

Doesn't your M3 have 500+whp? SL63 are gorgeous to look at it but not exactly the quickest. They are extremely heavy cars, close to 5000 lbs or something ridiculous. Not exactly the best matchup for you. A tuned F/I AMG would give you a much better race.

The SL was doing 12.40-12.60's stock and was 2/10th slower than the tuned M3 we had both trapping around 115 mph.

You wanna race me at Irwindale tomorrow night?

Yes, it was around 530rwhp when I raced one. I didn't expect the SL to give me a hard time, but I thought the SL63's trapped around 119-121? Shoot, the higher the SL's traps, the better the kill for me

115 isn't bad, Bu ti was thinkign it would be a little higher.

I'd love to run you, but my motor jsut got built and needs to be broken in. Over 600rwhp, you don't want to run me bro...

Nope, sl63 is normally aspirated and does not trap that high. The SL65 can trap 125.

I will run your 600+whp M3 . When will your car be done? I have TT C6 vette to play with. Let me know.

Nothing wrong with some friendly races. Doesn't matter how fast or slow your car is. At the track it's. Run what you Brung. I have seen high hp cars lose to less hp cars because of driver and poor setup. I don't think josh was trying to call you out. We are all enthusiasts here and try to keep the egos out. Unless someone wants to awaken the BEAST inside us all!

I know he wasn't trying to call me out, I'm up for friendly tuns anytime man, it's all in good fun and the reason we mod our cars afterall

I'll be honest, my car is not set up for drag racing as of right now, rather more for highway pulls.

A TT vette aint no joke, what's it putting out? I'd love to do some highway runs with it regardless, should be fun

Sounds good!

Yea, I love digs . Highway pulls are not as fun. But, still do em.

Yupp, The C6 LS2 motor is BONE STOCK and running pump gas. Stupid wastegate's are acting up and wont boost higher then 7-8 psi. It's only making 560whp and a tad less then 600 lbs of tq right now. It should have healthier numbers soon. Still runs good but doesn't feel as snappy. Send me a pm if you want to do some runs.

Back on topic. No need to thread jack the 63's.

I'll set you up with some e92 M3's (the new m3), should be a good run for both of you.

Who is making a TT kit? Any details?

Ok, Stock LS2 with pump gas I have seen over 600whp and as much as 647whp and some healthy tq. funny thing is. It's still on a stock clutch too. Not bad for a stock car with bolt on turbo kit and tune.

Not necessary, we usually end up at the same track at the same time.

I've seen LS2's with heads/cam get in the 450 wheel range.

I thought you were putting down low 500's on pump?

Different setup?

Updated records for the 63

Best ET: 11.04 SEC Jrcart
Best trap: 129.85 MPH Jrcart

Best 1/8th: 7.07 SEC Jrcart
Best 1/8th: 100.88 MPH Jrcart

Best 60 ft : 1.479 Juicee63(NEW)

The fastest 63 is still jrcart's CLK 63 Black Series. This car holds the top records in ET and Trap. The record passes were obtained using Nitrous to produce a significant boost in hp.

The 60 ft time is a new record!! It happens to be the fastest any Mercedes Benz has achieved in the first 60 ft of a quarter mile pass.

The previous record was 1.61, which I also bettered with a 1.606 on 08/07/2009 @ Sacramento Raceway.

The top runs in the CLK Black Series owned and driven by Jrcart(Jim) were achieved on 1/17/2009 at Famoso.

Wow!!! Amazing 60' time!!! Congrats!!!

There are a # of sub 1.6s (Jody's CL65 driven by Jay 1.575, Ahmad ran a 1.556 on his best run but had some better 60's on other runs, Lou Fishgold ran a 1.583 in his SL65, Joe Curry ran a 1.597 in his SL600). I also think Jay has cracked a 1.5X in his CL600. However, I don't think anyone has cracked 1.5 aside from you.

Tom
