They did rub with the stock sizes 255/35/19 and 285/30/19. BTW, I also bought my tires from Globe. Stan is the man.
I wanted to clarify that I wrote above for anyone who might want to get CLS55 wheels for their E55. I didn't buy the wheels from Globe. I bought the stock wheels from someone who owned a CLS55 and the tires were 255/35/19, 285/30/19. The offsets are 25mm front, 28mm rear. The rear tires rubbed mostly when through big dips in the road/freeway. I went to Stan at Globe and changed my tires to PS2's 245/35/19 & 275/30/19 and they do not rub anymore no matter the suspension setting or road imperfection. I attached a pic from the rear (sorry that it didn't come out focused) so everyone can see how close it is, but it doesn't rub. I hope this will be helpful for those interested.

FWIW, I just spoke with Stan@ Globe and he said they are the new SL55 wheels and there are no issues with rubbing or fitment. Congrats sgtstanko, your new wheels look GREAT!

Thanks man! I thought he told me they were NOT CLS wheels when I bought them. The offset is 30 front and 31 in the rear.

So what's the price if you don't want to exchange your old one?

I'm thinking of replacing mine w/ 65 wheels... 8.5f and 9.5r also. Do you have any idea in terms of price?

Thanks.

I was quoted 2400.00 for the new 19" five spoke SL55 wheels.

Is the SL55 you were quoted the 2-pc one? And I assume the price is one set, right?

Does anyone here know whether the SL55 has different specs / offset w/ SL65 wheels? I really like the gunmetal color. I think stock E55 - just like sgtsanko said - has et30 front and et31 rear.

I found one in eBay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/19-AM...QQcmdZViewItem) w/ correct offset - so pretty much just bolt-on... but the asking price seems way too high if compared to $2400 you were quoted even w/ tires (+$1000 at most for the set, I'd guess)

The quote was for a set of the the 19" one piece SL55 wheels, just as pictured on sgtstanko's E55.

I wanted the E63 as well and they have them there as well. The color of the E wheel is very appealing.........but i wanted the 19" look.

I'm still considering trading these back in for a set of the black chrome!

Sgtsanko... when you visit the store again, do you mind asking him about SL65 wheels? I think the offset is perfect et30 & et31.

Thanks.
