Raced an M6 today.
The wife sent me out to the store so I took the LOOONG way looking for a possible race. I happened to have my Drag Radials mounted up
Not having any luck, then in the distance... A maroon M6 super dark tint. I pull up beside about 50 and he does the three honk deal. Its been a long time since I raced like this, usually I just rent the Dragstrip in Orlando, but the roads were clear and I could not help myself. We took off on the third honk, and I pulled about a car on him and let up about 80 or so.
Then we both get a light. His dark tinted window had to come all the way down for me to see his head barely up above the body line.
We take off on the green and I mash down too fast on the throttle and the car starts sliding, but still pull a car or car+ on him.
I let up feeling satisfied and he keeps going.
Oh well, it was a nice little race.

50 = a so so powerband for the E (bottom of second gear), too and the M6 was in prime powerband in 2nd gear. Th M's are OVER-RATED from "speed" (period) and really E-Z to kill on the street (dead-stops, especially runs from 30 MPH and under). The torque will get it out in front E-Z and if a M driver has a "itchy trigger foot" and gets a jump on you, the E will reel them in. The funny thing is the SMG supposedly shifts in "milleseconds". Interesting, for the "old school" slide and glide 5 speed auto does not seem to miss a beat in the shifting department.
Nice run!

Stock,
Well it has the PTE Thermostat for the last few days.
I have an ASP Pulley to install.
Im leaving the drag radials on to get a baseline though at the track, then I will go back after the Pulley.
I will do a Dyno before/after as well if I can.
