Looking at a new 06 E55 - HELP
I'm thinking about a 06 E55 sitting on a local lot. The dealer seemed to be motivated and open to working with me on a deal.. I love the power of the supercharged V8.
I currently drive a C32 that has had a rapsheet of problems a mile long. What 'known' issues are there with the E55 that I may be in for if I were to buy it?? Thanks in advance.

How many miles on it? I would be less concerned with "glitches" on the car as I would with it being used and abused. The '06s only have the "typical" MB glitches (if any). I personally do NOT buy demos, etc. I like my cars with about 20 miles on them and love it when they still have the packaging on them.

2006 E55 AMG
I own an 06. Car is solid....if I could just keep it from getting hit by flying tire tread on the freeway. It's currently in the shop for the 3rd time in 6 months with front end damage from tire tread.

What color / options on this 2006?
I'm also in the market for an 06 and the pricing seems to vary greatly depending on if you look online, dealer or private party.....
Yea with 70 miles I would imagine price to still be in the 80k range correct?

'06 E55, '05 SLK55, a few others
Hopefully nowhere near the mid 80's. There are 06's with low miles in the high 60's. No reason to bend over that far just because it's "new".

2006 E55 Wagon (RIP), 2019 E63S Wagon (Sold) 2023 AMG GT634S
I would expect to be able to get that car for $67,500 - based on what I pad for my 2006 in December 2006.................
DO NOT BEND OVER BECAUSE IT'S "NEW" - they are losing more and more money on that car every day. Just like us - it's not getting any younger - or more attractive.

I picked up an '06' with 8,000 miles on it about six months ago and have had no problems at all. I love the car but it does take some getting used to. It rides hard and seems somewhat jerky to me compared to my previous MBs. It does seem to like a heavy foot as opposed to a light one which is no problem. The harder I drive it...the better I like it.

WOW you can buy 2006's for the mid 60's now?
So comparatively speaking a 2005 with about 6500 miles and asking price of $53k is pretty good deal?
