E63 Paddle Shiffters

Has anyone bought the 63 paddle shifters and fitted on the 55 steering wheel. Is there any modifications that need to be done or anything to know about before trying to fit them?

06 E55, 03FORD P/S,01 E320-4M,99 ML320,O4 E55,05 RUBICON UNLIMITED,
You Need To Razor Blade Your Stock Wheel To To The Size Of The Bigger Paddle Base, Cut The Wires And Solder The Connectors From The Stock Buttons To The Paddles, Pay Attn. To Lt. And Rt. Sides, Drill A Pilot Hole To Match The Mounting Screw On The Paddles Through The Wheel And Install. Works Just Like Stock, But You Can't Go Back To Stock After This Is Done. Paddles Are About $110, Mine Has Been Done For About 2 Weeks And I Have Had No Problems. I Will Try And Post Pictures Later.

I think this will on;y work with 05's and up... Im in the process of upgrading my wheel to the new wheel with paddles and newer style airbag, and im being told by the techs on the board that my car wont recognize the new airbag, the function buttons, and definatley not the paddles..
