It is actaully my dad's, however I enjoy all the perks ownership without the headaches. he rarely uses it. it is 70'. the boat is kept in south FL just north of lauderdale. this time of year is great in the bahams, as long as there are no hurricanes .

it is a 1997 hatteras motoryacht 70.
my dad got it new. jsut had the engines rebuilt...65k/side (glad that was on him)
we top out at 27 knots. cruise is about 75-80% of that.
fun cruiser. we towed my 28' grady white release over there and did some fishing...caught some dinner 1 night was about it (dolphin)

Nice, my guess was right
My dad has a 2001 56" SeaRay, its a real pleasure. I spend a lot of time on that boat. A 70' Hatteras is gorgeous, I plan on getting something similiar to that some day...or I can just continue to enjoy my father's luxuries for free lol.
NY sucks, we get very limited use of the boat, we can only use it for about half the year.
And damn, your boats a 1997 and it had its engines rebuilt? I'm praying that doesn't need to be done to our caterpillar engines for a long time because that is going to be one nasty bill.
Enjoy it

LOVE the boat man. I went on a 2 week private bahamas cruise with my friend on his 50ft Sea Ray, very nice trip. When are you having us E55 owners down for a trip??
well unless he is spending all of his money, it was actually on YOU and your brothers/sisters
Thanks for posting the pics!

Of course not this boat, but do some boats "street race" like we do. Meaning, are you ever out on the water and get side by side with a stranger and gun it??
Never did a lot of boating and was wondering if there is a forum somewhere with a "Killed a Malibu today".

Happens all the time on the way to and from Elliot key. My buddy had a 24 ft Skater with thin 300 mercs that was scary fast.
