MAF in the E63?????

I am far from a German engineer but have tinkered with enough cars the past 3 decades to consider myself knowledgable under the hood of most cars. I was on the phone with someone from Renntech re: intakes and they told me to stay away from pre-oiled filters because they leave oil on the MAF wire and cause ECU problems.???

1st- I do not see any MAF in my engine bay. Just a temperature sensor between the filter and throttle body.

2nd- Even if the filter was OVER oiled, MAF's have a burn off relay that heats the wire up after the car is shut off to burn contaminants off.

Am I right? No MAF sensor. Are E55's different and the Renntech sales rep just got confused? I want to start modding and would like to start with the intake.

From my understanding we have something called "MAP" Mass pressure sensor, no MAF's I asked my tech and this is what he told me.
