I know this may seem an improper way to post it, but you all are tied in to the crowd and are the best source I know.

You might wanna post some pics, usually helps.
The car acted like it had rotor warp when you hit the skids. I complained enough to where they replaced them. And you are right, at that mileage, it should not happen. I drive the car like an old woman. There should not be any thing wrong with it.
I know I am going to take a beatting on this, but at this point, I don't care.
I have had it with the dealership.
I am going to get on the list for a 08 M3.

The first trip to the dealership for the first oil change, they forgot to put the fasteners on the bottom skid plate. It dropped down like a snow plow @ 70.
You can imagine the noise it made.
I take it back for that fix and the VW dealership next door ran into it and hosed up the right rear wheel. When I took it back for the wheel replacement, I got it home and noticed a small dent in the driver side door. It is very small, but a friggen ding none the less. I seem to leave that place with more problems then came in with.
It does not matter that every thing is covered under warranty, or made right. It is a pain in the *** to have to go there, get a loaner, bring it back etc.
Maybe I am being unrealistic here, but it's a brand new car, and not a cheap one either. The rotors should not have to be replaced at under 5k. They already replaced the front tires too. It would be different if I tracked it every weekend. I drive it slow and easy. Maybe I need an LS Lexus.

3.5 or 3.7L Twin turbos w/AWD and the proven track record of the Skyline GT-R is winner for me vs. V8 M3.
The GT-R is on a different league and wants to compete against the 997TT.
GT-R vs C6z06.. tough call!
But I still take the Nissan. Easier to put the power down on all road conditions. Probably wont' be as fast as the z06 stock vs stock.. but both have modding potential.

So why replace the Z06? In all honesty, what do you see as its shortcomings?
My 63 has keyless go, heated/vented seats, nav, sun shade, etc. I guess I need to read up on what the prem 1 package is. I thought all of that came with it.
I know I will be bending over on the sale of this thing. Nothing says I have to do any thing at this point. Time is on my side.
Nobody knows the MSRP. I have heard plenty of rumors about it. The most popular one is that there will be 3 models (the last model not released until a year or two after the first two come out):
GT-R: $55,000-60,000
GT-R V-Spec: $65,000-75,000
GT-R Evo: $85,000-100,000
The V-Spec is supposedly the one that is more fully loaded and comes with the Dual Clutch SMG style tranny plus more technology. Thats the one I'm interested in. But again, nobody knows MSRP. The dealer can't guarantee MSRP but said they won't mark it up "too badly" lol. I would definitely take the GT-R over the M3 but I have a feeling that it is going to be marked-up way too high.
With the M3, I made a deal that I get the car at MSRP guaranteed. I still got some time and I should be one of the first people to know what the price is. When it gets closer I can make my decision.
Oh, and whatever car I get I plan on heavily modifying...which justifies me getting the GT-R even more.
Now, about the GT-R vs Z06. I love the Z06 and totally respect it as probably the greatest sports car currently out. The thing is stupid fast and mean as hell. But I am looking for something thats slightly more practical and easier to use on the streets. The GT-R is all wheel drive, has back seats (small ones but enough to throw 2 chicks back there), its brand new and there is going to be nothing like it, it will be extremely rare, the technology will be insane, it has a certain mystique to it that I've always admired since I was young, and the potential with the 3.8 liter V6TT is more than enough for me.
