2017 S63 Coupe Iridium Silver
Exclamation Latest AMG-style 19" Split spokes

What do you guys think of these new wheels?

They are S63 inspired but with improved proportions and slim, part-split spokes.
They come in 19" x8.5 and 19"x9.5 ET38 in SILVER or TITANIUM , both with diamond polished face. At first impression they felt very light but I will have to weigh them to compare with my current set.

For now I just propped them up against my car to take some photos.
(You cannot see the brakes through the black wheel cover).

I am very tempted to buy a set...

Correct. AMG does not actually make its own wheels either. These are better finished than any Ronal/AMG wheel I ever saw at 1/3 price.
You can upgrade them every six months and not freak out when your wife kerbs them...

These are 19". E63 wheels only come in 18x8.5 and 18x9 at 3 times the price. Take your pick...

Ronal is a reputable wheel manufacturer, who are these replicas manufactured by???........looks can be decieving??...replicas tend to be made of cheaper materials, hence the lower price.

I think your old amg rims looks better. The only way I would switch is if it lighter that your current ones. Design is sick though.

Question - Knock-offs (aka Replicas) are now being made with AMG stamped on them?

You are correct. Only because I used the front wheel in the photo, Front and Rear. The actual Rear wheel is 9.5" so the spokes make a dish, which is a little concave.

Isn't that sad...? Things like cast aluminium wheels, which AMG sub-contracts all over the globe, were never hi-tech enough to command the ridiculous prices they are asking! It's just "badge-engineering" and gouging AMG owners, who already overpaid for their vehicles.

Cheaper materials? Raw materials are the smallest component of manufactured goods. Be that as it may, cheaper aluminium due to short sea freight of bauxite ore from Australia to Taiwan vs. Germany, cheaper labour without astronomical pension funds and unions, cheaper machining/molding costs, cheaper design costs ie. copying is free, cheaper airfreight to destination market 5000km not 20,000km, no licencing fees to AMG etc. Add it all up and you get a wheel with a higher load rating than Ronal, better paint and cast finish for 1/3 the price.
Why do you think your Plasma TV and everything you buy nowadays costs less Made in China? Are they all rubbish?
