Nice run! It definetly looks like heat was not your friend that day. That ruf rt12 is a monster! I watched the video of the rt12 leon vs cgt, amazing how even after the cgt got a headstart and the rt12 reeled it in. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ae2PAOMBSZ8

The RS tuning 993tt kicked some but too. I can't imagine how much he spent on that motor.

I have to say I held a F430 and a yellow tuned P-turbo on the drag down to the corner from get away and most of second gear ... thats about the best kill of the day ...

Yep heat was no joke ... 205-210F IATs at 5850 odd rpm in 4th - did not even get into 5th when the SL55 did ... our gearing wayyy too long guys. The IAT's were basically a reflection of the coolant temps.... the shared circuit, and stock IC pump doing damage here.

IAT's just climbed as speed climbed.

The interesting thing I need to understand though is the SL55 guy said the car pulled hard again once it changed up to 5th, so brings me back to the optimal gear change point on these cars ...I think its before 6000 rpm. He has had his car up to 193mph on the Autobahn btw. I used S mode and floored it flat through the kickdown - think a big mistake... next time Ill try manual mode and change up earlier. But then I will also have TB, VRAB and cooling bits I am working on. Who knows mbe some headers too if I can find some decent shorty ones here.

BTW I reset my MPG before the event and averaged a fabulous 4.5 mpg while I was there. Went through 1/2 tank in no time.

And yes was great fun ... will do it again but only when my tyres/cooling/ mods are sorted ... and try and forget about the SBC.

Just heard another one to be held on 19th Aug ....

I'd like to go there with my R Turbo and see what could be done.
Is it in August again?
