Opinions please... tricked out NSX
#26
IMHO they are asking too much...perfect example of a modded car where the mods weaken the sale. That is honestly one of the least "clean" NSX's that I have ever seen. If you want a really nice one (albeit early model) in that color combo, PM me....my cousin has a garage queen with limited and very tasteful mods that he might be considering selling for the right price. Even so, you should be able to buy a lot more car (NSX or otherwise) for 30k+.

Josh,
Don't bring that thing around or I'll beat it down like an illegitimate, red-headed stepchild.
Pretty car...we've seen it riding around town. I've always though the NSX looked good. Don't go blowin' all your money on cars now.

Yeah, don't do a supercharger on the NSX. I'd go with a custom job, the HP performance kit or the Cartech turbo kit. The Cartech kit is the most conservative but it is a twin-turbo vs single from the other makers.

As people have been sayin Josh, the lines of the NSX are awesome...I absolutely love the car but and say get it if its for looks...but if you are getting it for the power aspect...run away. You will be utterly dissapointed comin from the 55...just my 2 cents...
Knowing you though, if you were to get it, I'm sure it wouldn't remain slow for too long
Good luck with the decision buddy!!!

No, no... Looks HORRIBLY cobbled together for my tastes. Plus, ~$40k for a '91? The NSX was the biz in it's day, but it is long in the tooth and showing it. Turns far fewer heads, even with the (IMO) tacky bolt-ons. Honestly, there are more flashy cars for less $. Slammed new body Vette, red drop-top Jag XKR with a white leather interior, Maserati, and so on... I would pass on the '91 and pick up something more current. This just looks like a car that doesn't belong in the same zip code as the W211.

Seriously they are cool cars but for that price I'd also vote for an older Viper, slap a blower on there and you've got some serious whiplash

Years ago the NSX was a great car, now it is old school. There are too many supercars available now. Either buy an unmolested NSX, or buy something fairly current. That NSX is hideous.
It is like buying a Ferrari 308 or 328. Why? Unless you can steal one and get paid to drive it, I would not waste your time.

Abalto says it perfectly. I would either buy a VIRGIN NSX or a more current head turner. Of course it depends on personal tastes and (most of all) what this car's purpose is. Head turning weekend cruiser? Weekend track racer? I suppose the NSX might be suited to a particular purpose, and $27k is better than I expected. But still... Talk about a rough investment, the poor owner must be hating every $ he put into it if he expected resale. I only recently was aware of the 'mod rule': $1k invested in mods decreases your resale value by $500. If lucky
Here are some cars Skeeter would scoop up if I had a spare $30k or so:

Those Jags have major female appeal Even the old body style; not sure why but they see it as a major status car.
A super clean NSX would be a good long-term hold IMO. Ahead of it's time, what do you all think about a clean stock low-mile NSX in terms of holding value over the next, say 10 years?

I dont like the front OR rear spoiler. it looses class to rice, it's unnessisary around town.
I used to have a fully tricked out custom Twin Turbo 1991 black NSX(it was my second one). i loved it. it got sooooo much attention and it sounded great. i had 425hp which isnt bad. it isnt exactly luxurious or have many ammenities, but it is honda reliable and much better head turner than the E, if you like that. it was quick and could carve lines with cars 3x the price.
uh, but i sold my NSX for my E55. i just didnt driver her enough and the batt kept on dying because i let her sit too long. i dont regret my time, energy and money i put into the NSX(it was a lot), but i wouldnt go back to her from my E55 either. but if you can have both, go for it. or you can be like everyone else and have a porsche, which are undeniably great cars but here in so-cal they are a dime a dozen.
