Opinions please... tricked out NSX

I checked it out and drove it today and the pictures simply do not do that car justice... it looks awesome in person. Obviously a tad bit on the slow side compared to the beast, but definitely a head turner. What does everyone think... are all the cosmetic mods a bit over the top? How about the price? Seems very reasonable... thoughts? The lexion glass is awesome... makes it look like a Ferrari.

you have great taste and a beautiful 55. i would pass on this one as sure you will find a better stable mate. have you thought about older p-car (993, S/TT-great cars re: lines/performance and values prob near floor; use to have a '97/993 & loved it)? just my $.02.

Keep looking.
I personally love the lines of an NSX.. All the extra stuff on that particular one doesn't suit my tastes, but, that's just me..
Now.. I've come close a few times to purchasing an NSX but what has always stopped me is the modding that is available.
It's a 6cyl N/A engine as a base. Yes.. Comptech sells S/C kits and raise the power a bit, but, its not going to do much for you after driving the E55 and feeling the power of that. To get any real power out of that motor, you have to pull it apart, make it bullet proof, and add some serious boost.
If you just want a fun car to go around corners, the NSX is great, but if you intend to tinker and boost power , I guarantee you will be bored with it rather quickly because you are limited in how much power you can extract.
So, I would say decide on what you really want out of the car before you decide if the NSX is the right car for you.
What's your budget for a "toy" car??

I know there is a red one in Sugar Land, such a beautiful and rare car.
You have a 1/4 mile car and this could be something to take to track events etc. Power means nearly nothing at the track unless you go to a track like VIR. At Pahrump (close to you) power wont make your lap times much quicker but a car with a really well sorted chassis will make a world of difference.
Having a car for drag racing and stop light fun is nice but the best complement to that would be a nimble car that has many possible upgrades for road racing.
Once you get hooked on road racing you will always have that itch for more!
The NSX never caught on as a exotic car because it lacked that history and italian flare but it was a great car capable of serious performance.
I dont know exactly what you are looking for in you second vehicle but if you want a more nimble car you are looking in a good direction.

I am pretty sure I have spotted that particular NSX on the street before. I will defend you and say it does look pretty cool in person.
A supercharger would definitely help. I think i had multiple kills of an NSX in my C32, but you are obviously aware of it's capabilities.
How comfortable are those seat?
Can you squeeze him for less than 30K?
Keep us posted and let me know when you can take me for a ride.
