if i wasn't interested in brute power, i'd sure look at the quattroporte sport. absolutely one of the most beautiful sedans in the world.

E63, SL 550 Sport,C63 Coupe On the Way!!
Its a nice looking car, interior is awesome but a bit small and overall i think its underpowered compared to the AMG or BMW M by alot. The brakes also arent that great when driven hard. The Cambiocorso is nothing like a Ferrari it is slow shifting compared to a 360 or F430
It is one hell of a stylish ride and i am sure that why women love them.
As for reliability i am sure it cant be great and i dont know if these dealers offer good service and loaner cars etc.

It is a beautiful car and as others mentioned probably a bit underpowered. However, it is one of the best handling sedans out there and the new auto. tranny is supposed to be very good.
Although the cambrio is not as good as ferrari and others it's not terrible. Many people don't realize they are buying a manual tranny just without a clutch pedal.
Reliability is always a question but spend some time on M5 board to read about problems. MB isn't the greatest either. If I were able to have a sedan next to my 997TT I would seriously consider the Q. Neither would be my daily driver but would love to cruise in that thing every now and then.

2006 E55
I test drove one a few months ago (free Bose headphone offer for a test drive) and I think its wonderful. Not as powerful as the E55, but the interior is top notch unlike the cheepy plastic stuff on the E. The sound of the quattroporte is awesome though. A little quiet, but a beautiful sound. Plenty of legroom in the back as well.

i like to ride my bike
The Q is the way to go, especially with the new auto transmission.
It sure is not as powerful as the 55 but the looks and the ride speak
for themselves. It should be well "enough" for your wife!!
