door closed, key position 2. Scroll down in the menus until you get to "A service exceded by 23 days" or something to that nature. Hold he reset button down unti you get "confrim service interval by pressing the reset button". Hold it down for 3 seconds and it should reset.

That did not work for me. Mine is currently counting down to service C, 22 days to go.

then youll probably need to do the service confirmed. I forgot that the new models added the additional services. Try this one. door closed key position 1 (make sure you have the temp. screen up before starting) immediatly after turning to posistion one, press the reset button 3 times. and the battery voltage should come up, page down to serivce data menu.use plus and minus to select service data and hit page down to select. then use plus and minus to scroll down to confirm overall service, then hit page down. It should say service confirmed. It will probably take a few mins or you next interval to come up but it will show. let me know how that works.

I just had a complimentary service done, 1-3k miles(service A?). What excatly did they do? No details on the invoice and my service A warning still comes on.

Because that wasn't a Service A. Please read your manuals and search the forum.Originally Posted by RHBENZ

I understand service A was not performed on my car. I guess I didn't form the question properly. I took my car in for first comp service. The service A warning was on. They "serviced" the car with some other issues I had asked them to check out. I got the car back not knowing they didn't reset the warning, though I didn't know at the time since the car was running when I got in. I noticed it a couple of days later when I drove it again.Originally Posted by amdeutsch

So since they didn't actually changed anything, what can I look for to see if something was actually done other than a car wash? Again, this is a different dealership than the one I usually go to.

Since they did a car wash, check to see if your car is scratched (good chance of it). I always just get the oil changed and leave it at that. The service intervals are purely a profit center for the stealer and a complete rip. If they take your wheels off to inspect the brakes, they will warp your rotors. Anyway you see how I feel. The thing is, there is nothing to check out but they will make you think there is. Good luck.Originally Posted by RHBENZ

Every time in the past I did it, hitting the reset button would clear my trip odometer as well.
I do not want to clear my trip odometer this time, is there a trick (i.e. hit reset quickly, hold reset, etc)
Thanks.....

my intention is not to hijack this thread, but since my query is of the same nature, I will post here.
I recently purchased an 05 e320 4m, C service is now due. I was curious to see what service, and additional items were needed, so I went to the menus mentioned ^^ and wrote all the codes down. I then scrolled to the confirm service menu and inadvertently confirmed, now it says next c service is 7xx days or 15000KM (Canadian Model). Since the service is booked next week, and I already reset this service, will the dealership know what to do? Will the FSS System pick up that it still needs the services and report again? Luckily I wrote down all the codes that were on the menu so I can tell them verbally (i guess).
Thanks in advance for your time and help.

d33pa, the dealer will know what to do. Just make sure you tell them you reset it so they don't end up giving you the wrong scheduled maintenance work.
