So, I just visited the Gaudin Porsche dealership website and they have my car advertised...

They are so stupid... they didn't list a single mod (you would think they would at least list the mirror etched v1/laser jammer, steering wheel, and carbon fiber tirm) and definitely the 100k warranty that is tied to the VIN of the car (bought through MB at time of purchase).

Anyways... if anyone wants a good deal, here's your chance -

Just So You Guys Know, The Starmark/cpo Warranties Are Void When The Car Is Bought From Another Dealer, Any Dealer. The Only Time The Warranty Transfers Is When You Buy It Private Party. So What To Do? Take The Dealer Plates Off Of It, The Ros Sticker And Tell No One You Bought It From A Dealer, That Way You Get The Warranty. Happy Motoring.

It was the perfect car... so I bought it... I paid a little bit more than I should have probably (about 4k)... but it had all the options I wanted, low miles and CPO. I didn't care.

No, 4k markup is very small on a used car to ask at first. The only thing is, we all know mods don't really help a car for resale. And for an 04 E55 I think that price is about market value. So they must want to get rid of it fast. Like someone else said, you can be sure they didn't only make 4k on the Porsche though! It's ok, I am paying sticker for my GT3, I think the dealer is gonna make atleast 15 grand off me!

Yeah and they paid 51k for it before the recon department put in their fake pack so whoever sells the car is probably making money off of 51500 or 52000. And who knows what service might have put into the car maybe a 400 dollar oil change The games inside the stealership are amazing.

Amazing... I think I'll be a Porsche owner forever!!! I just ordered a tune package for it!!! 1.2 bars and 525+ hp here I come.

I do admit there are times when i miss the beast though... In a perfect world I would have both... I will just have to wait patiently until the E63 TT comes out...

Its funny how you mentioned having at 996tt and an E55 would be the best of both worlds because I had just that. Then I saw the pics of your car and your friends and I thought, damn that black P car looks familiar. I know its not the one I sold but I had mine back in November of 2004 and they look very similar:

Dragon. That E-55 is gorgeous. I had the same idea to black out the emblems and grill. I am looking to buy my first one now. Only got about 50K to spend out of the door so I'm looking at 03 or 04's. I am trading up from a 2003 SVT cobra 10th aniv. with 458rwhp/473rwtq. I took a ride in an E-55 for the first time last week and fell in love. Beautiful cars. I am out in Cali working and live in the Baton Rouge area. They won't know what hit em back home when I bring an AMG back. I have always been "worried" that I would not be able to find a car to measure up to my cobra (I'm talking for the money, I'm no rich guy by any measure) and thought I would never be able to part with it but my worries were completely unfounded. Once again, beautiful car. If I had a few more K, I'd be all over it. Is there anything in particular I should look for on these cars that is known to be problematic? I am very new to the MB/AMG scene. PS. Did you give them the rims w/the car?

That is consistent with what my salesman told me. One thought, though. The title history will list the dealer as an owner if they did an effective transfer when they took the car. I suggest you check this out and see if I am correct. I do not know how the transactions are handled in CA. I just thought I would mention it. Good luck.

I honestly dont know what a used set is worth, I got mine back in 2004 when they first rolled out but Speed Gallery gave me a super credit on my GT2 wheels which I traded in. You should be able to get a set in the 3k range I would think.

As for the 996TT- do I miss it? There are days where the road is wide open and I think about the car but then I wake up and I realize I live in Orange County and the rowing wore out its welcome. It was a great second car but I just wanted a change from the rough harsh ride (I had JRZ coils) so I got the 65. Ill be a P-Car owner again ... very soon I think
