2005 SL600, 2003 350Z
Part # for 05' SL600 sirius receiver
I see plenty of sirius radio receivers in ebay for $200.00 to $400.00. If anyone can tell me the part number off their 05" SL600, it would be greatly appreciated. I hate having to pay $1000.00 for a new one with $350.00 in install charges.

I was going to pay my dealer about $1,000 last May (2010) to retrofit sat radio in my 05 SL, but they called and said Mercedes had discontinued the kit and they couldn't find one. They offered to do the install if I could find a kit, but I figured if they couldn't get one, I would not fare any better.
I'd ask your Mercedes parts dept for the retrofit kit part number; if you can find one on Ebay, please let me know what the part is, I'd still like to retrofit sat, but only the right way via the correct MB kit.

If you want the part number, call my dealer. MB Of Lindon (801) 222-4400 ask for Lou in Parts (lou is a lady BTW) and tell her Jim with the E55 told you to call. Lou will hook you up. HAVE YOUR VIN HANDY.

here are the part numbers from the mercedes SDAR parts instal document
SL-Class
R230
B6 783 0068 (the full install kit)
B6 783 0085 (The SDAR Reciever, which happens to be the same for every model EXCEPT the ML and the G they use a B6 783 0013 SDAR)
See Antenna Chart (Get this one from crutchfield and put it anywhere that it can see the sly http://www.crutchfield.com/p_220SUVA...sirius+antenna)
B6 783 0058 (fiber optic splitter for car not prewired, You are probably prewired)
Early MY05 SL may require the retrofit of bracket A 230 545 41 40
The SDAR should only be $250 on ebay, the antenna is $30 and the Fiber splitter is ~$15, the bracket iirc is $35. You should be able to do the whole install for ~$330
