ASP Pulley installed today, WOW!!!

Last week me and a friend installed evosport headers, today we installed a ASP pulley. It took about 2.5 hours, we did not need to remove the radiator. The install was pretty straight forward, you don't need to be a genious to do it. We had a GM pulley puller which took it right off. Their was no issue with the dreaded "key" issue. Just line it up and bolt it on straight. I feel bad for the fellow who broke his...

After the headers went on I noticed a little rise in performance, hard to tell with the butt dyno. After putting the ASP pulley on it was night and day! This car really screams now! Nothing like a 550 HP 4DR Benz that looks and sounds stock . Tomarrow I am going to put the butt dyno to the test and race up at NED in Epping NH. I am hoping to hit 11.8's, anything better will be sweet. I will likely get videos and post them once available. If anyone is in the area and wants to come down I will be there from 5:30 - 10:00 PM.

At the moment I am done with the modding, I am moving into my my first house in September and need to focus the funds else where. As for cooling mods, if I ran the car on road coarses I would be concerned about heat. If I get on the car it is for a short blast or a 1/4 mile run, I don't think heat is going to be a issue. Come next spring I will do the 80m TB and CF intake, then the ECU.

Just checkin....did you use a new crank bolt for the install? It's a stretch bolt and should not be used twice.

Although I did not like the quality of the ASP, had no probs with the power.

It's a monster! Glad to hear it all went well.

i would run, not walk and get a new bolt and dont drive your car there. once the bolt is stretched it loses its ability to lock itself inplace.

not to nitpick but you said you torqued it to 147lb at 90degrees. did you mean torqued to spec, THEN another 90 degrees?

I am not sure how that works, I told my friend and he knew exactly what it meant and did it.
