Renntech TOP Mount Intercoolers !!!
I wonder has anybody teied this mod yet, how does it work and how much does it cost ???

It seems like SLR type of intercoolers...simular to VRUS SLR Intercooler project...

I bet Adam can get a better price, but was calling around asking questions about pulleys and Renntech mentioned around 20K for um.

That's just ridiculous! jeez!

Especially when they could lower the price and sell alot of them with the known cooling problems 5.5l S/C cars have.

So there's 2 coolers on the top side of the engine, no further picture details showing how the kit actually provide better cooling. So how does it cool the charged air?

The car has 2 coolers. one to cool the charge air and the other to cool the liquid that cools that charge air. A Front mount kit is for air to air intercooler kits.

So in the case of the RENNtech kit, they use a bigger cooler to cool the liquid and then they use SLR style top mount kits to cool the charge air.

The project is still ongoing... No pics that can be posted at this time.

These coolers will address all the weaknesses that the Renntech coolers have in their design.

The problem with why this only adds 20HP is circled below. They let the blower breathe better on the out, but than strangled it on the in.

It needs a better intake. I will bet there is 30HP hiding there.

So has anyone seen these in action?

So they only gained 20HP, but perhaps they do that in 90deg heat too???
