I'm looking for some good exterior mod ideas for my newly purchased 04 E55. I'm thinking a flat hood emblem would look nice (though can't make up my mind on which one) and I'm wondering if painting the grill to match the car would look nice (I have a good shop for paint work) or if it would come off looking cheap. I saw pics of black ones on silver and black cars, but didn't see any on the blue E's.

Would you be kind enough to post some pics of some mods done to your Midnight Blues? I did alot of searching around and now I'm getting lazy...

IMHO chrome always looks good on dark colored cars. I think the blue and black theme might be a no-no. I agree that blueing out the grill might cheapen the look of the car also.

I don't have an E55, but I have a Midnight Blue w203 with a color matched MH-Dezent grille (except for the star). Pics are in my signature if you want to see more.

Also have color-matched super-leggera 3's.

My 06 E55 is Capri Blue. MB paint code 359. It is pretty close to Midnight Blue as far as I know. The only mods that I have done are the 19" CCW Wheels (For sale BTW, see Classifieds) stereo, and tint. A blacked out grill & flat AMG Emblem would look super sick on a Blue E.
