Car jerks when switching from S mode to M

My E63 jerks pretty violently while at a standstill when switching transmission modes. Is this normal? While driving, it is less noticable.

Thanks

Sounds odd. Is yours one that starts off in 2nd, even in S? If so, then it is likely shifting into 1st when you go M.

I'm pretty sure they have a TCU flasha nd valve body that should all but cure the 7g 1-2 harsh shift issue.

Take it in and get the latest software and new TB.
I dont think you are supposed to press the button when driving. Make sure you come to a complete stop.

In Drive sport by downshifting or upshifting via shifter or paddles you are engaging manual in d/s. The car will not shift until the redline in most cases or until you shift out. Hitting the button while driving is not advised
