What are you using for DA calculator?

Did you ever buy that hand held weather station I showed you?
just looked up the altitude correction www.nhra.com

4900 is baseline for sae I dont think condition get much better than 4900 there. In any case he claims a 12.49@ altitude which would be

.9754 1.0233 this is half the correction for a SC car

12.18 ET@115.47

Ok its possible I guess...
GREAT RUN in the CLS 55

My best corrected is 12.36@115

so this continues to show the .2 difference . BOOOOOOOOOOOO

Dam now I gotta get to 12.49

I borrowed the other guys DA calc, weather meter. It was AWESOME. I will definately buy one for my runs Oct-DEc

[QUOTE= Why would Mercedes introduce the next generation model as a slower car?[/QUOTE]

To comply with Euro pedestrian safety regulations. The SC sits exactly where the knocked down pedestrians like to hit their heads, so it had to go.
The 6.2 NA engine is the best AMG could come up with ie. a compromise.
They were never going to improve on the E55, they simply had no choice.

My apologies to the OP. I initially saw this as a trolling thread and responded with an immature comment.

No problem - I think most of us have been guilty of a little 'immaturity' from time to time - especially behind the wheel.

Are you guys sure those aren't the European M5's using launch control? cause that knocks about a second off from the North American versions. Also, maybe a little modded because those times do seem a little quick for stock even with LC.
