Black out the chrome trim
I'm not thrilled with the big chrome strips along the side of my 'new to me' E55 Wagon.
Any suggestions on a reversible way to black out the trim?
Thanks,
Tom

The best way to remove them is with fishing line and windex. Spray windex, just a little, and run the fishing line between the car and the emblem to remove. I would just bring them to any body shop to be gently blasted and then painted. Easy enough. Good luck EDITED-I thought you meant the V8 Kompressor emblems.

My friend did it (just in white though). Pretty simple, he took it to a bodyshop and they sanded down the chrome and painted over it. He did the same to the grill and the chrome badges. Came out beautiful.
