You're coming, awesome. Get me some lessons from the drag master. I've never drag raced either of my cars before. Should be fun. You'll also get to feed your car some of our nice 93 octane pump gas, it won't want to go back to CA.

Current Sample List of Attendees
Hello Everyone,
Thought I would share the current sample list of cars currently RSVP'd for the airstrip event on September 9th. So far we have 23 cars confirmed.
Here is a quick sample:
8 BMW
8 Mercedes
3 Porsches
1 Lotus
1 Ford
2 other
Model types look like:
2003 M5 (highly modified by Dinan)
2006-2008 M5 (stock to light mods)
Elise (supercharged)
1996 993TT
2003-2006 E55 (stock to nicely modified)
2005 SL65 (modified)
2003 S55 (modified)
2003 CL55 (modified)
2006 Ford GT40
I have two other people confirming other types (2 Lambos, 1 carrera gt, 599, and a possible SLR). I probably won't be able to accomodate many more (maybe 30 max).
Hope this helps many of you.
Regards,
Darren

No problem.
My brother will be coming he confirmed so I'll have both there. If for whatever reason he doesn't come I'll bring the SLK since there are many other E55s coming already just to have some variety there.

Will do! (FYI, it's b/c my wife has been hospitalized and is battling some stuff, so I'm not trying to be flaky here).
My challenge will be what to do w/ my 3 year old daughter.

Oh man...please take care of your wife. I was truly just poking some fun into the conversation. Family 1st!
If, by chance, you wanted to come up you're more than welcome to bring your daughter. My wife loves kids and could watch her while you drive. My son with be there (he's 9) with a couple of friends as well.
I hope your wife gets well soon!
Regards,
Darren

I'd be up for a caravan. If I can get away. My wife's parents are doing most of the care for her since I have my daughter and job to cover. (I need the job more than ever w/ these hospital bills... omg!)
Darren, I know you were teasing. I just wanted you to know I was serious about coming up. I may just bring my daughter. She loves cars and "going fast".
As long as there's apple juice there, we should be ok.

I'd be up for a caravan too.
We'd all have to leave here pretty early enough or the night before to get there around 9ish though. Last time I drove to Dallas it was about a 2 1/2 hour drive(averaging 90 the whole way). So with the fam it would take about 3 1/2 to 4 hours.

Man, I was looking at the same thing this morning. Its been raining here in Houston pretty much the past week and forecasts say the same thing this weekend(50% thunderstorms).
I checked weather.com for Denison and saw 40% rain. Doesn't look too good.
Rain or shine, unless the event gets postponed or the rain is just too heavy, I'm still going.

I just had to make the executive decision to move the event back one week. The weather does not look in our favor and there are a number of people coming in from out of town and I don't want to wait until the last minute an cancel if need be.
Based on that, I'm proactively moving the event to September 15th. In addition, I've secured a new runway/airport with an absolutely gorgeous runway.
I hope everyone who has RSVP'd will still be able to attend and maybe those who couldn't make the 9th will now be able to attend as well.
My apologies for any inconvenience. If I could control the weather better I would definitely keep the date.
I have sent out an email with the new location details to everyone who has RSVP'd to me.
Best Regards,
Darren
