E63 Tranny recall performed:codes inside
Since my car has a later build date the new transmission valve body was installed at the factory, but it appears early build date cars(which have been discussed here before)will be recalled for this update, although according to my service manager no official bulletins have been sent to them as of yet.
They performed the exact same service updates I received to a CLS63 that had identical problems as mine:clunking from 2nd into 1st gear as you slow down to stop the car.As well as erratic shift points from 1st to 2nd while in sport mode.Mine shifted anywhere from 5800-6800rpm depending on what mood it was in.At other times the trans shifted so hard from 1st-2nd that it would chirp the tires&slam my head into the headrest.
I haven't had a chance to go out&screw around w the car as my schedule wont allow right now, but on the 30 mile ride home the car definitely felt better, and the shifts were crisp&consistent
Hope this helps those of you that have been having problems with their dealer
They claimed my car was running normal. How did you get all that detailed STAR info? Thats great stuff. Does the SA have access to it?

Does your car feel different??
My car felt the same , still when pushing in 1st gear it shifts out hard causing wheel spin and a head jerk! It does not happen everytime but it seems to be slowing the car a bit. what the hell is going on with the brakes on your ride?
So they are replacing the pads&rotors under warranty.Good thing as the price of the 2 rotors alone came to $2300,not including pads or labor

A brake job later as miles as up should be interesting as the rotors have to be replaced as they cannot be cut on the machine
Let us know what this new update does etc.
How can we reset out tranny adaptations?
I just had one update done so it goes into 1st gear thats about it.
What dealer did you use in NY?
