Hey all you Northern New Englanders............

I wanted to establish a new thread devoted to tracking at the New England Dragway. I have gotten numerous private mails to keep in touch with members who are planning on going to the track.

Here are the members I am aware of that have recently expressed a desire to go to the track in the very near future.

What I was thinking is that we could use this thread to provide updates on who can go and when to NED. As you know, the track is closing in October, so perhaps we could make an effort to show up as a group.

I cannot make it this Wednesday but I think I can make it on Friday. Is anyone else interested in this Friday, August 31, 2007 or next week.

Obviously, anyone is invited who can go. Would like to hear from as many as possible. It would be cool to show up at the track with a bunch of MB's.

Glad to see you will be there on Friday. I will give you a call when I get there so we can hook up. Maybe we can pick on some C5 Vette's while we are there. I know you have broken 12 seconds already and looking for better times as I am. Looking forward to our meet at the track.

What time you guys heading up? I gotta work till 6 but maybe I'll still swing up and catch a few runs. Hell, I'll even come just to watch if I must. I realy plan on going every wednesday and friday during september/october. Wonder if friday will be hot? I don't know about the heat up in Maine but it was 93 yesterday and my IAT's were 135-155 cruising....I stay out of boost entirely duiring that kind of heat...

No problem if you get there after 7pm or so. Last week a car caught on fire so it ws like starting late anyways. Lee and I are going up and meeting. Going to nail down a time. PM me and I will give you my cell phone and we can keep in contact and hook up in line......

I am getting my new ECU from ADAM to test out on Friday.......Should be fun...... Lee has a Wagon that does better than 11.9.....

I'm going to shoot over tonight and try my inaugural run... stopped by the dealer for a tranny reflash, he gave me both a tranny and a computer reflash... kinda worked - I couldn't boil my tires before from launch, now I can (mixed blessing) but the car still shifts out at 6200-6500 from 1st to 2nd in S manual mode. I was looking for 7200. We'll see what happens. Z

PS, no vids for me, prefer not to void my warrantee.

Freinds went to visit me at the track last week and got it on video. The quality is terrible, otherwise, I would have posted it with my Dragtimes.com slip and time.

We will work on it Friday. Hopefull Flee,or Nitrogen or Zax have a high quality recording video. Do you know where I might find someone to do the voice for the video

First run tonight, not all that pretty. Trac on, 12.7 with a 1.98 60ft, .40 RT, term velocity 111. Second run track off, .21 RT, 12.74 with a 1.99 60 ft Third run, very very ugly - tried to get fancy with Trac off, Brake torque, boiled the tires, ran high 13s. Car has 1500 miles, I hope I gain velocity with a few more miles on it. I'd post my runs if I knew how to use a scanner, I'm a techno-moron. Ambient temp around 79. I'm thinking 12.5s are coming with a better brake torque launch and north of 2k miles. Also my tranny reflash today would not let the car shift out of first above 6400 rpm.

I bet the heat slowed you down as much if not more than your launch.

when you line the car up, do not power brake, lightly roll outjust as if you were at a red light anticuipating the green. You need to roll out then slam pedal. When in d/s hit your shifter to the right and shift up into 2nd then back to 1st , the car will likely shift closer to 6900. IMO DYNO mode is best , and yes it can be scaru=y but thats the only way to gurantee full power all the way down the track. ESP off and feather out of the hole. 60 ft times are purdy dang good. you could easily cut .2 there. Current 63 record is a mere 12.41@114.6

Great times with your 63.......The heat defintely slowed your times. It should be around 65-68 for track time on Friday with lower humidity. Shoud be good conditions.

Plenty of time to practice launches. So let us know if you are coming on Friday.....

I plan on going next Wednesday, probably for the last time this year. I unfortunatly can not make it this Friday.

EMAX, we got rained out on Friday, Lee showed up and Dave......We all decided we would go back out this Wed 9/4.

Zach and Wes will probably be there also. Perhaps they will chime in on the thread.

The weather looks good for wed. Should see some good times by all. I will get to try out my latest modification........

Anyone planning on going on Wednesday. Looks like it will ba another perfect day. Low humidity, dew point, and low temps at night..........Hopefully with all the rain over the past few days, it will dry out.

I am definitely going for another run on Wed. Lemme know..............
